I drove from Nanaimo to Calgary yesterday, half of it in darkness. I was shocked by the number of oncoming vehicles that did not dim their high beams, especially Big Rig truckers. Much of BC is single lane each way, too, which made it particularly annoying. I’d say about half of them dimmed them if I gave them a flick of my own high beams, but half couldn’t be bothered. Grinds my gears.
Didn't you once get out of your car and someone was so intimidated by you the potential altercation was avoided?
Also, no offence, but you sound look a goober typing that all out. A little late school incel vibey
Yeah I mean it was around 20 years ago I believe in a discussion regarding road rage. I recall the guy cut me off and I fingered him and he rage followed me so eventually I pulled over in the Nose Hill Park parking lot and got out because I didn't want him following me home. I was really buff in those days on the way home from the gym with a muscle shirt on and once he saw that I wasn't some scrawny little guy, started backtracking and and got back into his car. Not exactly sure why sharing an incident like that makes me look like a goober but you do you.
Back in August, I ordered a hat for my dad's birthday coming up at the end of October. I bought from a Canadian business I've purchased from before, last time everything went smoothly. The hat was slated to ship on August 26th. On August 24th, I got an e-mail that my shipping ETA was now bumped to August 27th. This continued every Sunday, bumping my order. I e-mailed twice -- a month apart -- and asked what the deal was. Both times the responses were "we're chasing the vendor for an update". Not exactly confidence inspiring.
This Sunday I got my weekly "LOL NOT YET SUCKER" e-mail telling me the hat would ship on October 15. So I checked their site to see if they even list it anymore... and not only do they still list it for sale, but the very hat (identical SKU) for which I paid $52.99 is now listed on their site for $34.99. So I reached out and said I wanted a partial refund since I paid two months ago for this hat and they've somehow dropped the price while I'm still waiting for mine to ship.
Their reply:
"Please be advised that prices and availability are always subject to change.
We can only honor the price you have for the part at the time you placed the order. We are still chasing the venor [sic] for an updated ETA for Order 700239000."
I told them I want them to cancel the order, they've not shipped jack-sh-t and now they're ripping me off. Of course, their Ts&Cs have all sorts of language about cancellations and restocking fees.
It's now October 15 and the f-cking thing is still not shipped yet, meaning it's highly unlikely it'll arrive in time for my dad's birthday. I've put in a cancellation dispute with PayPal demanding a full refund, rejecting any claim they have to a stocking fee for an item not even their vendor has lifted a finger to ship.

That a unique way to display your road rage. No wonder he was mad.

I may not be 6' tall but I have long fingers! Yeah he totally lost it. It's why I just ignore that #### these days. The potential trouble just isn't worth it.

I am not even sure what the distinction between high beams and normal headlights are anymore. Cadillacs, Jeeps, and GMC trucks seem to be the worst to be driving in front of or towards.

I’ve never met anyone who pulls the “women/men only care about this one superficial aspect that I happen to lack!” line that wasn’t a complete disaster either mentally or physically otherwise anyway lol.

The new LED headlights are so bright you almost think drivers had their high beams on. Pickup trucks are the worst!

This is where you call your credit card company and reverse the charges.

Then he stood up and said “I’ve never fought for anything in my entire life. I’m fighting for this hat.”
