I don't think anyone has said that, have they? Every Flames and Oilers fan that has commented on it has seemed to suggest it kicks the can down the road and they'll decide what to do as the coming seasons progress. I haven't heard a single Oiler fan suggest it guarantees he's staying, other than it guarantees he's staying longer than before he signed the deal.

It doesnt gurantee anything...he can ask for a trade with a tradeable contract at the first sign of trouble

You picked my quote out but we were discussing a hypothetical where the Oilers are out of the race at the deadline

Also, E=NG

Ya, but the Deutschbagger much prefers employing the pitchfork method…

I noticed that too. He grabs the stick to hold it between his legs as he goes down and then releases it again. The McPenaltyDraw special.

Well we all know it's another trick because he has no balls.

Damn, that takes some serious conditioning to grab the stick and skewer your own sack even further to slightly increase the chances of an already guaranteed call.

No balls. No D. No guts. No heart.

I'm surprised he didn't sneeze.

Seriously. The "draw a penalty" reflex runs strong in 97.
