From the 2024 draft class:
Yakemchuk, Helenius, Solberg have been sent to the AHL
Demidov, Catton, Buium, Luchanko have made their NHL rosters
Not sure yet on Iginla or Dickinson

I'd still love to swing a deal for Miettinen though as I think he might be held back because of Seattle's center depth.

Here is the draft thread around the Gridin pick.
Kinda fun to look back. Some were pushing for Basha. We got him anyways

This says Iginla is dealing with a minor injury unrelated to his double hip surgeries, and is likely to be returned to Kelowna once he's cleared to play.

92 is a badass number.
Second Flame to wear it after Nylander. Here's to a 900+ game career, kid.

He's certainly looked good in preseason and hopefully he can stick with the club as the talent is undeniable.

Hm, so my initial assessment was they should've gone after Hage or Eiserman.
Guess we have to wait to see how the three develop.
I'm pretty happy with this consolation prize as it stands though.

Both Hage and Eiserman are gems. Both turned 19 just two months ago, Eiserman has five points in his first two games at BU and Hage with 7 in two at Michigan.
Meanwhile Dean Letournea, selected by Boston three spots before Gridin is still searching for his first NCAA goal. After going an entire freshman season with only three assists.

It's hilarious to read that draft thread from 2024 and see all the anger. It wasn't even really an "off the board" pick. I think it was mentioned later by some insider that the Flames had intel that Gridin was next on a few team's lists so they were compelled to take him with the 28th pick.

Could just be me but I really get Tarasenko vibes when watching him.
