Including the wonderful notification if adult content is blocked (for example an ad or picture in a web search). Using the time feature everything goes dark except being able to call me or their mom l, no other apps work or any other contacts (911 still does obviously) and location based allows me to lock out games when they leave the house so they don’t play at school.

Yeah, we were an Android family for years, but when my oldest was around 14 or 15 my wife switched to iPhone and we got the kids iPhones for the parental controls. Crappy sacrifice for my wife as she prefers the hardware options with Android (jealous of my Flip), but the ease with which we were able to manage our kids' phones was worth the trade off.
Today still she uses the find my iPhone or whatever that thing is that allows you to spy on the location of your family (with the kids' permission...I don't get it, but they like us knowing where they are). They spy on her location, too. I'm the only one footloose and fancy free with no tracking of me.
Anyway, in our experience iPhones are way better than Androids for parents.

Boy IOS 26 is a little buggy. I like some of the new features but I had to do a lot of troubleshooting to get my phone stable as before.

Keyboard has kept freezing for me. I hope it's sorted out since that's more breaking than annoying bug.

In iOS 26, replying to a message in these forums will show the "Forum Jump" select dropdown above the keyboard.
Good job Apple.

iMessage for me is still broken. The send & receive won't sync with my phone number and I keep getting "activation unsuccessful". I've never had this issue ever until I upgraded to IOS 26. Not sure if Public Mobile needs to update it's carrier settings but I'm not pleased with this release.

Does the price of a new iPhone drop between, say, release and April. I currently have the 13 Pro Max and may trade it in for a 16.

I did increase contrast vs reduce transparency. Reduce transparency looks weird on the transitions.

I started using the public beta a couple of weeks ago and I've grown to like most of what I see in iOS 26. I really like the new keyboard UI for some reason. Like the font on the keyboard is pleasing to me.
I have noticed a bunch of odd behaviours with my pinned contacts, specifically the first one where it disappears. Also had a weird issue yesterday where I replied to a friend on my watch, only to see that it sent the messages to myself?

Increased contrast looks awful on the new UI, it completely ruins it and gives everything a harsh outline.

I quite like it myself. The only problem I had was app faces disappearing when I as messing with the tints but apparently that’s bug that predates 26.

I just realized that with the new "AI" implementation, it feels like autocorrect is restarting from a decade ago. Kinda funny.
"Give the correct forms to the correct teachers"
"Have the correct forms to the corrupt features"
I'm still playing with the settings. But I think it can be ironed out pretty quickly.

Haha for sure. Them, my truck, and probably two dozen apps on my phone.
My family can't track me, but thankfully a whole bunch of corporations with my best interests in mind know where I am and what I'm doing 24/7.
