Scandanavian nations play league games on grass pitches will into the freezing season. Just need to get your hands on some of the genetically modified grass they use.
But again I see nothing wrong with Atco's pitch. The Final last season it looked fine, just not as green as mid season.

They can always paint it, and it wouldn't be the first time they did that to make sure that it looks good!
3-1 win over Halifax. Good performance off the poor performance last week. Klomp was a rock on the backline when things got nervy in the first half. Ntignee was a menace on the left wing and him driving forward to set up Musse who made a good run sealed the win for me. Shome returning is massive going forward too.
4200+ in attendance so the Wild game kicking off at the same time didn't have much of an impact.
For anyone curious about attendances for last weekend's games played at the same time: Cavalry drew 4231 and the Wild drew 3672. Both right around their averages for the year.
Probably confirms what we know which is that both clubs have their own support with a bit of overlap between the two.

Forge are being taken to the woodshed in Vancouver tonight. 3-0 Whitecaps early in the 2nd half and it could easily be more.
I’m grateful for the success Cavalry have had since our inception but going out to Vancouver FC in the Canadian Championship is going to go down as a massive missed opportunity. We had a clear path to the final against CPL opposition. There may never be a better opportunity than this year presented.

My buddy attended the PFC match on the weekend where they hostedat a multi-sport/baseball facility in Victoria. He said the vibes were so much better than at Starlight and there lots of talk about how much the players liked playing on a grass pitch. Could be something to watch for here

If Rios had any semblance of an ability to score goals it could've been another 7+ goal game for the Whitecaps. Instead they had to settle for a mere 4-0 victory.
Forge hasn't shown an ability this year to play up to their competition I don't think. They were massively outclassed in CCC and in this tie too. Sure they got the tie in leg one but I think that was far more to the Whitecaps playing down to their level than them elevating their play beyond what they're normally able to do
I hope the Cavalry players and staff aren't feeling sorry for themselves over this missed opportunity. They didn't show up when they needed to. I hope they're mad at themselves

I went to Starlight a few years ago and would agree the vibe is not great there. Have heard from folks on the Island that people don't really leave their communities so they are really only drawing from Langford and Victoria could not care less about the club. Maybe that's an island thing.
Not sure what this means long term but as soon as Vancouver FC launched you could tell the owners were done with Pacific. Which is funny because Vancouver FC has been so poorly executed from day 1.
