I think they need to get on this right away and enact sensible gun laws.
Start with
Voluntary no questions asked government gun buy backs
Background checks and waiting periods including at gun shows
No carrying weapons loaded within 1 mile of a residence anywhere
Ban sale of automatic weapons
No personal sales (you must be able to prove the gun was purchased at a registered dealer)
I think these simple common sense measures would have saved Kirks life. Republicans need to start protecting their own.

That's the opposite of what Charlie advocated for, you'd be ####ting on his memory. He quite directly said deaths like his are the cost of freedom and the second amendment, and he was OK with that, so I don't know why anyone is really upset about anything. Particularly those that actually respected the guy. Maybe show him the respect he deserves, and celebrate his death as the freedom bell it is, ringing loudly.
Or, you know, declare war on those practising their own free speech, but that's not what Charlie would have wanted, and not what he died for. "We need to have a good spirit about being made fun of," he felt(in response to being lampooned on South Park). Your empathy for him and his family disgusts him. Show a little respect. Be better.
I don't give a #### about Charlie Kirks memory. The guy was kind of an a hole.
I also don't really revel in dancing on his grave. I kind of pity the people who loved him. I think they deserve pity for living they type of life that leads them to identify with the crap Kirk spewed. Something did not go well for them.
I pity the person who felt the only voice they had was violence. I don't know the situation, maybe they were right and this was the only chance they had to express the message they wanted to deliver in an effective way. But I really pity that we live in a world where many people are being pushed down and marginalized to the point where they don't have a voice.
I pity Kirk for being such an awful person that many choose to reciprocate his lack of empathy.
I pity the people who will suffer the consequences of this event, and worry they might reach all the way up to me a middle aged white man in Canada.
I pity the people who are dancing on his grave, becoming that which they claim to hate.
This is such a pitiable situation, the best we can hope for is to ask those who are truly sad about this to help us stop it from happening again.
