People simply aren't mourning or showing empathy for a person who himself was devoid of feeling any empathy when school shooting after school shooting happened.
Well, lacking empathy is showing respect to Charlie anyway.

I am not religious, I do not hate anybody for any choices they make that affects their lives. I do not care if somebody has a different opinion than myself, and when they do, I do not wish any violence on them.
You are openly celebrating the assassination of another person, because you disagree with what he thought.
The irony is, it’s the same mentality you claim to despise when “the other side” does it. They just dress it up as righteous.
Who?
Who is doing that?
I think the prevailing sentiment is, that we take no joy in this, we don't condone the act, but we don't feel any empathy for a person who preached hate and had no empathy themselves.
That is not celebrating. That is, at worst, indifference.
Much like the indifference Charlie Kirk showed to other victims of gun violence.

We dont have to give our input on everything. Sometimes the most tactful move (as well as energy saving), if you know that people affected won't like your honest opinion, is to withold it.
Underrated move. Many disregard it as an option.
Problem with the internet is every one compulsively inserting their opinions on practically everything.
Maybe those acquaintances aren't seeing hypocrisy in only sounding off now, maybe they're missing some information or alternative perspective that you deem pertinent. But its not always our job to make them understand.
And forcing the matter is typically met with resistance.
If you're burnt out maybe it's about picking your battles and realizing when its futile.
I agree. When it comes to this stuff I tend to pick my battles and 90% of the time I say nothing. There are people in my life that I know are pointless to have conversations with about this stuff, so I just don't. Its those that I think are actually somewhat reasonable that have responses like the one I posted, that dissapoint me.
On a related note, my question is if the shooter isn't caught what are the odds they continue and go after another Kirk type... there are plenty of targets if it actually is a politically motivated killing, he's not the only guy who fits the potential victim profile. Just one of the easier ones to get to given the types of events he does.
With this and the Luigi CEO killing, I think it only ramps up from here. The ultra rich just keep clamping down on the poor and middle classes, leaving more and more people with nothing to lose in the most heavily armed country in the world
And they really want to push the "leftists are evil" narrative because they don't want to address the real reason this murderer was able to kill Kirk, a lack of reasonable gun control laws.

Doesn't feel like a radical left, trans-supporting commie, but I guess you never know.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Pretty much. Everyone is trying to inject and explain nuance to people lacking a grasp on the concept.
It's like trying to describe different shades of red to a colorblind person. It's never going to work because they have no frame of reference.
They’re all the same, too. Zero self awareness, total cowardice. Desperate to be heard but too gutless to actually respond to anyone or acknowledge any counter argument. I don’t even know if they can think for themselves or expand beyond the black and white.
They view Kirk like they view themselves: truth tellers with the bravery to hold a different opinion. And it’s easy when they don’t actually listen to anyone else’s opinion and base their entire worldview on the RW grift machine.
Or maybe not. Maybe every one of those “original thinkers” came up with “the tolerant left” or “a man with a different opinion” or calling people “reddit mods” on their own. It’s just weird it’s the same thing you see from every brainless RW on twitter.
