They could take less to try and win.

Could also see Kaprizov taking Panarin’s place in New York. Panarin moving on to a Florida team or California team.

You “invest”in 82 games? How? You buy jerseys? He gets almost nothing from that.
You want to complain without the player reacting to it. If he told you what he probably really thinks of complaining fans you’d throw a fit.

lol naw boy, is this a satirical post?
No, I don’t really care what he has to say. He’s an entertainer, and if he fails at this he fails, rather I would question why he doesn’t invest that energy into his game?
How else should I pay? By going to 82 games? My tax money is already funding their new playhouse

Then why are you complaining when he says it?

Ah, I see, you are a one of those fans who believes that every poor performance is caused by a lack of effort.
If you don’t care what he has to say, why are you talking about it? It’s very simple - you can complain all you want. Players can be affected and can comment on the complaints they hear. You seem to be mad at the concept that players might have actual human feelings.
Your complaint about tax dollars is a little off mark though. That has very little to do with the players and a lot more to do with the owners. Or have you heard Andersson mention the Saddledome being a bad arena?

RG reporting Habs and Flames are interested in Zacha but the Bruins don't seem to be ready to move him yet:
https://rg.org/news/hockey/source-ca...er-pavel-zacha
Quote:
An NHL source has confirmed to RG media that the Montreal Canadiens have inquired about Boston Bruins forward Pavel Zacha.
“The Canadiens definitely have interest in Zacha and have inquired about him, but they're not the only team,” the source told RG recently. “Several teams — I’m told the Flames are one — continue to express interest in him.”

That doesn’t make a lot of sense for Calgary unless they move Backlund or Frost.

Florida, if they would any space, would be my bet too. He's best buddies with Bob and Tallon tried to get them both when they were both free agents six years ago.

I don’t recall anyone saying last summer that the Flames should trade Rasmus but I might have missed it. If I had been that clairvoyant I would probably be quoting myself to show off my precognition.
|
If Ras was traded in the summer of 2024, I would bet the value we could have got is more than what we will get now. If signing him is no longer an option, than trading him for as much as possible and sooner IMO is better for the Franchise than getting less later.
In the summer of 2024, I looked at the roster and his play and felt his value would go down rather than up. I was right.
Now I'm evaluating the situation just like Conroy would be and I once again am saying that his value will not go up enough to wait. Should Conroy hold out for Ras having 50 points at the deadline when his career high is 50. If you look at Weegar vs Ras, is it just a coincidence that Weegar steals Ras #1 PP spot for the last 2 seasons and Weegar is his 30s all of a sudden is beating his career highs in points while Ras has dipped in points. If you look, Ras really only dipped in non-PP points last year. 23/24 his dip in points was all due to the fact he went for 21 and 19 PP points to 8.
Add Parekh and he might end up with less than 8 this season. Add in Parekh and he probably get less mins per game too. So, when I evaluate all this, I'm not holding my breath for a huge point increase. So for me, his value might slightly go up from what it is now, but the risks for me it is better to trade him now.
I also think it opens up the door for others to get a crack. IMO it's the right move to do it now. I guess we can wait and see how his season is going if he is still with the team

I saw a "rumor" somewhere a couple months ago around Rasmus for Zach + Boston's 1st.
I would have high interest in that 1st for sure.
It wasn't a legit rumor source or anything, just one of those random facebook things.

GioforPm to the rescue of his players.
If he can complain about me complaining, I can insist it’s because of a lack of effort. Effort that does not translate to results is a failure in sports, or a wasted effort. This isn’t the peewee league where just try your best pretty please or GioforPm will have to manufacture arguments on your behalf, it’s the nhl, the largest hockey entertainment league.
You always like to create a lot of straw man arguments, why is that? I don’t care if money is going to the player or the owner - that is not my concern. All I know is I am forced to pay tax dollars towards something that I don’t care for - money that could be better spent on other municipal initiatives
Hey so, you didn’t answer me - how else should I pay the flames? Besides going to games and buying merch, do I need to e transfer Anderson?

If I was as right as you were in the summer of 2024 I would be finding those posts and quoting them in here. I don’t recall anyone clamouring to trade Rasmus last summer.

Saw on a habs fan site that an insider mentioned that David Reinbacher and Kirby Dach were the ask for McTavish.

I think very little of Kirby Dach at this point, and I don't particularly love Reinbacher when you look at where he was selected - I think that was a poor choice, and a case of Montreal chasing positional need vs. ceiling (hello Michkov, Leonard).
If I was Montreal, I actually would have made that trade.

I think they should have 100% taken Leonard. He fills a role they don't have right now particularly with their smallish forwards.
But I also think they didn't take Michkov because he made sure everyone knew he would only come over for one of his desired teams like Philly. He engineered things to make sure the Flyers picked him.
