Krahner is a legend in this city, take his name outta your mouth!
For being one of the worst 1st rounders in Flames history? ahhaha He should have never been chosen in the 1st round. It was the Flames playing it up for the home crowd.

He's taken being a bust with grace. He's a great Calgarian and does a lot of charity work. If you met the guy, you would agree.
There is a lot more to life than the person on the ice.

It was also just a bad draft in that area.
The next picks after Krahn were:
- Mikhail Yakubov
- Pavel Vorobiev
- Alexi Smirnov
- Ron Hainsey (good pick)
- Vaclav Nedorost
- Artum Kryukov
- Marcel Hossa
- Alexei Mikhnov
So in the next 8 picks, you have 1 NHLer, before you then get to Brooks Orpik at 18.
So it was a bad pick in a sea of bad picks.

I love this kid. He’s won at every level. Absolute fair contract, not trying to set it up to run out of town, kid is just going about business like he has for the past 10 years. No one interrupt it.
Hes our “first overall” when people bring up draft position BS, I wouldn’t trade him for Bedard or Misa.
Love this signing. He's turned into a great ambassador for the Flames and city. He stayed here almost all summer. Shown up to off season events, and getting involved in the charities too. Great kid to have as part of the new core going forward.
