Kipper and Markstrom both had 6-year contracts, so this is the longest contract for a goalie in Flames' history (and neither of them played out the full term of their deals).

Kipper and Lemelin played part of 9 seasons in Calgary. If Wolf plays out this contract with the Flames, he'll be here for part of 11 seasons (at least). Only Vernon, who played part of 13 seasons (including his late career return), has been a Flame goalie longer.

Kipper's last deal had a cap hit that was about 10.3% of the cap when it started. This will be 7.2% of next year's cap.
