It's security theatre. Much of what we've been subjected to since 9/11 is.

What the f? Those guys made enough money off Hootie covering one of their boring songs, basically a little lottery win paying out royalties. I don't particulary dislike them but they're f'ing boring.
Worst Canadian cancon, Tal Bachman and Default. Anything by those 2 acts is the drizzling sh*ts.

Did tal Bachman have another radio hit after 'she's so high'? I dont recall one.
Edit: that was a quick rabbit hole that made me feel old. He's Randy Bachman's son, 57 years old and also currently in Bachman Turner overdrive with his dad. The more you know.

I fly 2-4 times a month
It is all so random.
There is no rhyme or reason to any of it.
What passes no problem in one airport get's pinged in another airport.
I asked a guy at Pearson the other month why I was pulled out. I went through security at YYC with all the same items, but more, IE: mouth wash, tooth paste. The little ####er just looks at me and shoves my case back. If it was a mistake just say so, #### I might even appreciate the honesty.

Worker Bees, This is How it Goes, Standing in the Rain...
They have so many sick songs.
I can understand not liking them, though. On paper I should hate the lead singer's voice, but it hits right for some reason.
As long as we can all admit Sum41 is awesome.

"Go for a Soda" by Kim Mitchell is definitely the nadir of CanCon for me. I can switch the station in under a second when that comes on.
I imagine CanCon these days is even worse than the stuff we had to listen to. Imagine having to listen to the ####ty CanCon version of Ed Sheeran, after regular-####ty Ed Sheeran? 54-40 probably doesn't sound so bad in retrospect.

I went into a bank today, because I needed a roll of twoonies.
They didn't have one handy.
The teller had to get the other tellers help to get enough loose ones to scrape $48 together
I had to remind the teller what the dollar value of a roll of twoonies IS.
And all this after waiting for 18 minutes in line to talk to the teller in the first place.
Banks RGMG today.

This is what makes me laugh. When a TSA agent looks at you like you are stupid because you did something that a previous TSA told you to do. No rhyme or reason, but they look at you like you should know some very clearly defined policy

I love The Hip, but when I hear (or read) someone say they don't like them, I totally get it

They’re my favourite band but I’ve never understood people’s victim mentality when they don’t like them. Just, don’t like them. Who cares? I’ve never tried to convince someone otherwise, same as any other music…
