Have teams made use of the increased cap or are teams keeping some space free for moves later on down the line? Wasn't sure of the best place to look.

It's just been so quiet this off season, when I really expected more to be going on with the increase in cap space. Have teams spent it all in advance.

I know Anderson's cap hit is low, even lower if we retain cap, are there plenty of teams that could afford him?

That's just not true. Hossa signed in Detroit at a discount over Edmonton expressly because he wanted a cup that year (Detroit was the team that beat the Pens). Chasing cups was Hossa's deal at the time. It's why he signed with Pittsburgh and Detroit and it's why he signed with Chicago. All of whom were a year or so from a cup. None of them were a team a few years away from a cup - which is the discussion with Andersson and Anaheim.
