No, that's a negative. I love it when he whines and complains that we're mean. Of course we are...remember that you decided to do this, entirely on your own?

They are still letting Trump shaft them badly just like everybody else is trying to avoid. Do you know what the tariff on their cars were before Trump? 2.5%. That is more in line with doing business with an ally of yours. How did Japan screw up? What benefit is this deal to Japan compared to what the US gets out of it? Japan got bent over.

Not unlike his massive tariff on Brazil, which comes with a list of 700 exceptions. Notably, coffee is not excluded from the tariffs, which is quite a choice.

But of course…
Trump escalates trade war with Canada following Palestine stance
“Wow! Canada has just announced that it is backing statehood for Palestine. That will make it very hard for us to make a Trade Deal with them," Trump said on Truth Social.

Hmm...he didn't seem to have a problem making a so-called deal with the UK even though they're also planning to recognize statehood for Palestine, along with France, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, and several other countries. Trump doesn't actually care about any of this stuff. He's just trying to inject this into trade talks as a bargaining tool to try and get more concessions. What a f'n loser.

None of these 'deals' he has been announcing are real deals. No language, no actual mechanisms in place.
But he gets his sound bite. Gets to act like the master deal maker, with tariffs (his favorite). He lies about countries paying the US 500, 350, 200 billion dollars (they arent). Countries promising to buy billions (they wont be).
Its all stupid bull****

It IS all pure bull####.
Which is why I'm surprised we haven't brought up our "trump card" again, the electricity exports from Ontario.
Just say #### it. Zero tariffs across the board or we'll shut down all electricity exports. And then watch them cower lol.

What if at the same time we stopped recognizing statehood for Gilead America?

More tariffs for Canada due to our "inaction and continued retaliation".
Get bent.
I will say, no deal means we aren't giving in, and Trump can't handle it.

The new tariffs only apply to goods that aren’t compliant with USMCA, so the majority of goods are still crossing the border tariff free.
I’m glad we haven’t rolled over. Canada is playing hardball and our officials are saying they’re in no rush to sign a deal at the last second just to meet Trump’s stupid deadline. And rightfully so, considering we’re their most important trading partner. Negotiations will no doubt continue in the meantime.
And I see that he’s now gone back to the fentanyl bulls*** as his excuse again, which he hasn’t mentioned in months. What a f’n loser. He’s probably just mad that his entire reason for the tariffs in the first place are likely going to be struck down in court again, as the Trump administration’s appeal is still awaiting a decision.

Yes, nothing unexpected. The language used just shows the United States is not negotiating in good faith.
