I equated injecting mine water underground to dumping it. Basically any time people try to hide toxic stuff instead of remediating it is dumping.

That was David Stephan and wife, Collet.

Jason Stephan is this guy...
UCP MLA who was demoted in 2021 for vacationing in Arizona despite a COVID-19 advisory is again being criticized for his travel timing.

Jason Stephan was reelected as the MLA for Red Deer-South with 56 per cent of the vote on May 29, but he was absent Tuesday when UCP members were sworn-in at the legislature.

Danielle Smith is claiming it was the media who mischaracterized the Jasper report.
When she was the one who called for it to be withdrawn and an apology issued.

Warning y'all right now, this government and it's ministers are dragging Alberta headlong into a separatist battle, one they do not intend on losing. This could literally tear Canada to pieces. How anyone believes Smith's bull#### "oh, I'm just here to listen" while she's literally running a cross province separatist rally tour(with our tax dollars), complete with propaganda videos full of all the usual lies that leak from her facehole like soft serve, has to be one of the dumbest mother####ers to ever breath air.

Good to hear about the budget surplus though.

If recent polls are to be believed, a large majority of Albertans have zero interest in separating. This is a losing battle for Smith and her merry band of deplorable f***wits and they know it. Try as they might, I just don’t see it happening. And it certainly would never happen in the way that they think it would in their bats*** crazy delusional fantasy land.

And here's yet more about another UCP scandal!

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmon...ders-1.7588697

They are cutting AISH yet claiming that they aren't because there are CHUDS who will believe them. Too many CHUDS.

The UCP is handling this very poorly in terms of threatening to cut people off AISH but why isn’t the process here the federal government asking the provincial government for a list of AISH recipients? It seems flawed that the criteria for the new federal program is not simply eligible for X provisional program.

This seems like a federal failure to make the application easy.

It’s also a federal failure to set the minimum for the programs higher to force everyone to meet the leading provinces standards. I believe even with Alberta clawing back the $200 its benefits are still the 2nd highest in Canada.

For this particular program I think we can blame the federal government funding model.

Does it?

People in other provinces still have to apply to get this benefit from the federal government in the same manner that people in Alberta do or they lose $200. Simply currently receiving a provincial benefit is not sufficient to receive the federal one.

And people in many provinces will still get less than people in Alberta because the federal government failed to make the minimum amount of provincial support equal to Alberta’s support amount.

BCs PWD amount is 1483 for a single plus the $200 federal vs 1901 in Alberta.

BC releases a big hullabaloo of how they maintain the federal benefit amount for their citizens.

https://news.gov.bc.ca/releases/2025SDPR0008-000604

Is BC somehow better here? Now saying Alberta isn’t the worst is faint praise but the ire here is a federal and provincial failure.

In the creation of this benefit the only requirement from the feds was the total benefit received by an individual was not decreased. This seems like a failure of governance to not change it to maintain current provincial funding levels indexed to inflation. The feds recognized this risk and explicitly allowed it.

It’s easy to get mad at the UCP here. But this a a failure Canada wide of feds and provinces not supporting vulnerable persons.

GGG you really think Provinces, particularly Alberta, want the Federal Government to establish rules that are in Provincial jurisdiction? You really think UCP would share an AISH list with the Feds to make life easier for PWDs? They want the cash for general revenue as a transfer, it's that simple. Look what they've done with childcare and healthcare transfer.
