She missed her opportunity to blame one of those NDP lightbulbs for starting the fire.

Ya, the list is just so long and hard to keep track of. There was that twitter account that was putting out daily posts with new items that the UCP did over their short tenure to erode the quality of government and the quality of life of Albertans. I would really hope that AB Resistance would publish a wiki of sorts to document all of the transgressions of the UCP on their site.
Considering that an 'amateur' was able to expose so many of their grifts, I feel strongly that if we had a real ethics commissioner that couldn't be replaced by the politicians that they are meant to watch over, then there would be numerous investigations into bribes and kickbacks that would result in the end of the UCP.
The number of rumours around golden parachutes being given to UCP members over the new coal mine is disgusting to consider and I am sure the Oil & Gas industry has equally paid for the UCP to pander to their industry over investment into renewables (or any future industry).

At a time when these companies are prioritizing profits above all else and are actually being pretty horrible to Albertans (laying off thousands over the last few years) deregulating and making it easier for them to do bad things to the environment is not the responsible move for the government that represents the people.

The nightmare quagmire of spilling anything anywhere. I'd rather drink my own oil spill than spill it on a lease. The months of hell work after is not worth it.

If a government doesn't have the authority to harass reporters, are they even a real govenrment? This is a projection of strength. Go team 'Berta!

Ya, but think about the budget surpluses. It's exactly what some voters wanted and cared about, so they've been doing an A+ job. Who has time to worry about anything else? Budget is all that matters.

As a professional engineer with 20 years of experience, I’ve always believed in the power of expertise and competence. I take my professional oaths seriously, and respect others who do the same.
When I need advice on health, I consult doctors. On education, teachers. Yet, when Premier Danielle Smith was asked who advises her on Alberta’s energy future, she answered, “I take advice from CEOs. Who else would I take advice from?”

Also, The Breakdown has lost access to its Facebook account: https://bsky.app/profile/thebreakdow.../3lui6anqgvs2s
This could be nefarious, or it could just be normal Meta incompetence.

Danielle Smith is claiming it was the media who mischaracterized the Jasper report.
When she was the one who called for it to be withdrawn and an apology issued.

Wanna read something wild? And dumb like a rock...
https://bsky.app/profile/daveberta.b.../3luiwdmvng22u
Alberta’s Parliamentary Secretary for Constitutional Affairs and vocal separatist Jason Stephan released a statement complaining that the Prime Minister is a de facto King trying to destroy Alberta and compares Canada’s monarchy to Vladimir Putin. He says Alberta doesn’t need to be ruled by a King.

I can’t be bothered to look this up, but is Jason Stephan one of the owners of that health company, and was he on trial for the death of his child for failing to provide the necessaries of life? Could be a similar last name?
