Loving my teams a lot.
If one could live daily with any combination of the passion/joy of Jesse/Jonathon and/or the swagger/confidence of EB and Blake that would probably serve one well.
Just one more annoying team to eliminate and everything is good. I enjoy all teams left, but one.

Love those guys though. Hope they get their feet under them and stay around

Curious as to who that annoying team that's left is?

The Oilers guy drives me crazy. I find his Oilerness repugnant.
Jesse and Jonathan are a riot. And looking very strong and well rounded.
Surprised by Brendan and Sam. They seemed like a super team set to go the final.
Opens it up for the other teams.

How can Osas & Esosa, two Calgarians, go the wrong way out of Lake Louise heading to Golden?

Yeah they seem like great guys and I hope that they get it together, not just because they are one of my picks. Very positive and upbeat, I hope they do great

Well, that sucks. The Papa Smurf thing really did them in. Once they were so far behind, I can understand trying the other side of the detour to try to make a comeback, but it seems like the detours are really un-balanced this season.

Brendan and Sam were my personal favorites, so I'm out of the pool with the wife. Good thing I didn't pick 1st in this pool, or I'd have no reason to watch anymore

Damn, did not expect team grease to outlast Brendan and Sam. So I guess that's all I have left to cheer for. Ugh, dirty.
Surferguy, my lawn is getting long.

"We made a bet on who would be the first to cry. He said it'd be me."
This week, the Race heads to Calgary... but only to catch a plane to Vancouver. Most of the leg is spent around Langley. Jesse & Jonathon and Grace & Joe lose the U-Turn votes, so they have to do both legs of the Detour... except Jesse & Jonathon convince Louis & Marie to give them an Express Pass, so they only need to do one side. They probably still would have won the leg without using it.
The Short Kings continued to struggle, so they're the ones going home.
- Jesse & Jonathon (Win a trip to Queenstown, NZ + $10,000)
- Ika & Demetres
- Lacey & Celia
- Rebecca & Rebecca
- Grace & Joe
- EB & Blake
- Nipîy & Magoo
- Louis & Marie
- Osas & Esosa
- Brendan & Sam
- Michele & Aditi

Next week, the race heads north... way north to Tuktoyaktuk. It will probably be a non-elimination leg.

"The meat sweats are already going."
This week, the teams go as far north as you can go in this country, visiting Inuvik and Tuktoyaktuk. EB & Blake have a strong leg, going from the second-last team to get a cab at the airport to winning the whole leg...but just barely. Jesse & Jonathon continue to crush it. Lacey & Celia struggle with the puzzle challenge and take a penalty... but it ultimately doesn't matter because it was a non-elimination leg.
- EB & Blake (Win a trip to Amsterdam + $10,000)
- Jesse & Jonathon
- Ika & Demetres

Every year, the show usually takes a week off after the August long weekend, and it looks like this year is no exception. In two weeks, the race will resume with the teams heading back to BC, travelling to Prince George.

So.... will the two hour penalty end up being pointless? I'd imagine they'll be on the same flight to Prince George as the other teams? I hate the Mario Kart rebound physics of this show. Quitting a very basic puzzle should have ended up in an elimination. What a baby. She didn't even have to eat the meat, what was so difficult about this leg?

They will have to complete the extra road block, but yeah. She a baby and hopefully the road block puts them at more than just a few minutes disadvantage.
Yeah, the playing field is reset regularly, and I'm good with that.

We were watching her break down and my wife said, "Maybe she wouldn't be so moody if she had some protein in her." I had a good laugh at that.
Also I want to say I was impressed with Louis jumping in to help them eat that meat without hesitation because they reminded him of his daughters.

Wow that was pathetic. They should just eliminate them. You quit on a puzzle? hahahaha
