Man what a difference Slowik has been after taking over for Monson. Its nice seeing the D make big plays and really keeping points off the board for once.
League best 91 points allowed so far.

I love watching them lose especially with all the free agents that they signed this offseason. 6 weeks into the season and it appears they are going to miss the playoffs again.

I've had mobile QB's in my offense, and its 4 different plays, A QB Power, A delayed QB Draw out of pistol. And a Roll left and roll right with a flood concept. You can get fancy and add Read options and pulls. but Ford is fast enough an hard enough to tackle that you don't need to be fancy.
But Ford has problems. He doesn't read defenses well, his accuracy is questionable, he makes slow decisions. He's intriguing from a back up role, but I don't think he's a starter and Falaful isn't a great option, but could probably manage an offense.

The other big thing is YPA. I bet we are under 7 and over 12 on offence.
Good coverage behind the pressure, a lot of underneath stuff. Harris piled up the yards in the end but most of it came from dinking and dunking.

I see this as one of two possibilities:
1. A LB might be longer on the shelf than originally thought and Herdman-Redd has been signed as a potential replacement.
2. DD believes in this team and wants to bolster the lineup with a versatile veteran who can help out on special teams as well as defense.
The six-foot, 225-pound defender was originally a seventh-round pick of the Toronto Argonauts in the 2017 CFL Draft. He has made 53 defensive tackles, 67 special teams tackles, two sacks, and two forced fumbles over 70 career regular-season games with the Argonauts and Roughriders.

I thought he might have been a guy they would have looked at it in free agency.

Updated odds to win the Grey Cup - Stamps started the season with the longest odds, now they are the fourth favorite.

Good to hear that Milt Stegall is returning to the CFL on TSN panel this Friday night in Winnipeg.
