That must be his "alternate" crop.

Haven’t really been following this book story. What’s actually in these books? Are they uptight about anything sex, or is this because it’s not about heterosexual sex?

How graphic are these? Not a parent, so I can’t say what age I would want my kid learning about sex, and how in-depth it show be at a certain age. I feel we were introduced to it around grade 5 or 6?

None of those questions are actually relevant, because we already had professionals that did this job. They were called librarians. Not politicians.

But this is one of those fun situations where you have government web pages now quoting what they must think is the most egregious examples, kinda like that time Kennedy was talking about how he liked having dick in his mouth. Here's a sample from the GoA.

Quote:
Page 166: “WE'VE MADE OUT, WE'VE HAD SEX, WE'VE MOVED ON TO SEXTING AT WORK. "I got a new strap-on harness today." "I can't wait to put it in you it will fit my favorite dildo perfectly." "You are going to look SO HOT." "I can't wait to have your #### in my mouth- I'm going to give you the blow job of your life…then I want you inside me.” "HOLY ####" "This is the most turned on I've ever been in my life. I am DYING."”

Yes, we are all dying here. I really hope someone read this in the leg.

They even link to all the graphic stuff.

Shocking, I'm sure. It's good to know students will be safe from seeing this stuff going forward, and that there is no where else anywhere I can think of they might be able to find it, if it weren't for those dirty BDSM dungeons known as school libraries. Good thing that whole internet thing went away.

Except it seems likely these books were never actually in Alberta school libraries

The Breakdown

Smith today on solar and wind...

"We want an agriculture first policy, so we don't want installations going in on prime agricultural land and sterilizing it for either decades or even forever"

That's a real quote, not a paraphrase.

Solar panels. Destroying crops across our beautiful province.

The number #1 reason thousands go hungry every day.

Our children deserve a better future in Alberta.

Ban solar panels.

I don't know how she could say this, and then support mining the Eastern Slopes, which is a direct attack on agriculture and ranching. (As well as people that might want to drink water in Lethbridge)

Thanks, tips. I'm fully aware the story of Lot and his daughters takes place in Genesis 19, but I was deliberately using the word "chapter" to describe the entire Book of Genesis since each "book" of the Bible is like a chapter in the conventional sense of the word.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmon...plan-1.7583358

As Alberta's transportation minister prepares to unveil a passenger rail strategy this summer, freedom of information documents obtained by CBC News show that Premier Danielle Smith's husband, David Moretta, was invited to three meetings in 2023 about passenger rail and its potential expansion in the province.
Prompted by Smith's interest in rail, the Alberta government is awaiting a consultant's 15-year master plan for introducing passenger trains across the province.#

Anyone else bring their unqualified spouse to work meetings? Or just her?

He's an advisor, Makes sense, he's got the experience of running a restaurant in a train car.

I can't help by picture him as Ralph Wiggum. He just really likes trains, OK?

So in light of the Province wanting to get back to the 1880s and re-introduce the Iron Horse, perhaps now is the time to float my Zeppelin proposition?

Lets get back to the great, majestic airships of old! Just have them flying patterns all over the Province and as soon as they get to your destination they just drop a rope and voila! You rappel down and you're there!

Fuel efficient, good for the environment and...mostly safe.

Did you know In the early 1900's someone in Banff had a plan to built an airship dock at the top of Cascade, and shuttle people from the town to the peak by airship. Wild idea, never took off.
