I wouldnt bet your house on it.
This is usually when the Star Wars Rollercoaster has reached it's peak and we all know what happens when the rollercoaster gets to the top...

I know, I know, but I am in the minority as I've generally enjoyed all of the new content they have made.
I read and enjoyed all of the Timothy Zahn books as they were released in high school, so that probably explains my bias towards liking the content more than most.

Ditto and I sympathize, the Zahn trilogy had some warts, but it also introduced some really interesting characters and themes, they should never have booted it out of canon.
From a Star Wars perspective....if someone offers you an interesting story? You TAKE IT!!!

I really liked the Zahn novels and remember that they jump started what was a dead IP in Star Wars.
Its funny going back and reading it, and Zahn kind of created his own definitions of the Clone Wars that was actually on the verge of Insanity. Also those books introduced some really good long lasting strong EU characters.

I always wanted to read Outbound Flight which iirc was Zahn's attempt to massage the Katana Fleet stuff with the Prequels. But never got around to it.

After watching the first couple episodes three times in the last few years I finally gave this show a legitimate shot. Up to season one episode four now. I’m really liking it.

Andor is the best thing since the OG trilogy. It’s not even close. In fact, it makes me even madder that the prequels and sequels were such trash (except maybe TFA). Even the Mandalorian is only ok.
And I’m only done season 1.
That post credit sequence at the end of season one is a little confusing though. Made me think that they didn’t necessarily plan on having a season two. Because it seems to lead right into rogue one.

Think it was only tacked on to show exactly what they were building in the prison was being used for. Wouldn't worry about the timeline of the post credits scene, it's just adding information.

You are forgetting Rogue One which is probably the 4th best Star Wars movie ever made and the conclusion of Cassian's storyline.

I might even be inclined to give it the #2 spot behind ESB. The space battle with the two star destroyers colliding might be one of the best sci-fi scenes ever put to film, I don't think I've ever felt like I was a little kid in the theater again as much as I did when watching that for the first time

Hell, the Federation in Star Trek doesn't have money, but we know that Gold Pressed Latium is very much a thing. And likely the Starfleet officers on DS9 would have been given an allowance of sum to by drinks at quarks etc.
Back to Star Wars though, in TPM we know Qui-Gon tried to buy the hyperdrive with Republic Credits. Watto only wanted 'real' money.
But from a production standpoint, I do think it's important to remember that even though this is Star Wars made in the 2020s, they still from a production design perspective are tied to the analog world of the OG films. It's buttons, and dials, and plugs.

I find this hilarious. They have all this tech, but at the same time are left fiddling with control panels with flashing lights and levers. That all came form George's imagination, in that that was the best he could imagine the future would be like. Big miss. So now Star Wars writers have to work in this world where everything is super advanced, but also everything needs to be controlled through consoles.
But I guess that's better than where Start Trek Discovery went, where anything magic is just advanced tech.
I've been reading some Asimov Robot stories, and it's interesting how he can absolutely nail some of the modern moral issues around AI, but never really imagined computers not needing punch cards, or that media would just be available to everyone, not restricted to data tapes lent from the library, and having time allotments on view screens hundreds of years in the future.

Star Wars tech is always intriguing to me. Its super advanced but at the same time their holographic projectors are low quality and seem to barely work, their advanced tactical screens on warships look like 1980w ATARI displays, the starship engineering is ridiculous with the shields in the vulnerable places.
Look at the Death Star! "We're gonna bolt these giant turbolasers onto this turret! That'll do!"
- What if they come in with smaller craft?
"Well then I guess we're just boned!"
And it generally doesnt ever get any better! From TPM all the way to the end, short of bolting bigger lasers onto stuff have there been any real technological breakthroughs?
You could go on and on. Its like they were handing out Engineering degrees from cracker-jack boxes.
And dont even get me started on the goddamned binoculars! Good lord! First of all the image is grainy and breaks up all the time and secondly, why does a droid or Stormtrooper have to put binoculars up to its' face? Shouldn't those just be built in?

That's where the "In a galaxy far far away" comes in handy, their tech just evolved much differently than ours. Fallout is much the same, super advanced laser weapons and robots, but every computer looks like an Apple II

But it never seems to improve! Its like their Engineers hit a point and from there on it was just 'good enough' and then went and did something else.
Their only changes really were "make it bigger and with more guns."

Fallout universe never invented the microchip. So they continued to use vacuum tube technology, meaning everything remained big and bulky, and super resource intensive. Hence running out of oil, and the nuclear war starting.
Similarly, Star Wars is long long ago, so their tech isn't as advanced as ours.

The Star Wars theory is that the GFFA and its civilizations are so old, that scientific advancement has slowed down. At the same time the Empire didn't go for niceties for things like Ship designer fancy consoles. Nope they build powerships and strapped as many guns to them as possible.

Slowed down, or completely frozen? One of the weirdest things I remember from my first playthrough of Knights of the Old Republic was how nothing was different technology wise, even though it's set 4000 years before the OT
