I, however, am pretty sure that there will be one poster here that will be voting for someone else, but he definitely gets a pass.

Haha! Like most hockey Dads, I’m probably harder on him than others. That said, I will come in with some statistical analysis when I think the time is right 😃

Montreal at 2, Calgary at 8, the other 5 Canadian teams are all in the bottom 8!

Does Edmonton and Toronto even have any prospects left to be ranked.

Will still be a downgrade because Skinner scored 40 for them last year. Or so I was told last summer when he signed anyway.

In the Bader list, stunningly EDM is ranked 3rd for Canadian teams (but mind you that is 25th)

only Florida- which has 2 shiny things to show for it, Boston, and LA (and Ken Holland is just getting started LOL) are in the basement with the CANCON

A link would be most helpful. Search engine does not want to disgorge today.

I don’t know what some of his ratings mean. We are ranked 1 in depth stars? What is a depth star.

I saw his methodology. Most players with a 10% probability of being a star.

I believe (the term is confusing) the number of players with a lower chance (10% maybe) of being a star

makes a bit of sense though, fewer (outside of ZP) guys trending as likely stars but a whole bunch of guys that if a few things break right..etc . also fits with our lack of top 5 draft pickin'

Yeah I mentioned that a few days ago. He projects two stars (Parekh and Reschney) and then sees a a whole pile of others that each of about a 10% of being stars. So if 1-2 of those make it - you net out 3-4 stars currently.
Which for where they are in their re-build, and absent high picks, ain't half bad.

For a team that has been pretty consistently competitive for the most part over a long time, the Caps have really managed to build a strong prospect base.

But I thought you couldn't do that without deliberately tanking! No fair!

They have a #1 OA pick in Ovie lol. So they either tanked or sucked really bad (probably both) to get that.

Yup and Backstrom would also have tied the Flames for highest draft pick ever at 4th overall. They haven't been a legit contender since he aged out
