Blaster86 obviously thinks that. Self-righteousness is a hell of a drug, and some people have to get their fix wherever they can.

It isn't about sexual assault in Seabrook's case. It's about merely being present when somebody insulted the victim – and by most accounts, after the perpetrator had already been fired. What was he supposed to do at that point? Go to the police and demand that they press charges based on third-hand hearsay?

If you deserve that kind of treatment, it's because you are so desperately eager to dish it out yourself.

Wait a second. Just so I understand: You don’t deserve to have your “career ruined forever” (be criticized on the internet) if you sling homophobic insults at a coworker for being sexually abused OR allow it to happen as a leader, but you DO deserve to have your career ruined forever if you suggest someone does deserve the former?

Man, some of you guys have the weirdest morals. No wonder you struggle.

If Blaster86 had his way, Seabrook would never be eligible for any hockey job again – starting right back in 2010. You don't call that having your career ruined?

In my book, people who strive to cut others down for imaginary offences deserve no pity if someone does the same to them. At best, they will be hypocrites if they complain instead of taking the same medicine they were so eager to dish out.

Who's struggling? The only struggle I see here is your struggle to comprehend the basic concept of reciprocal treatment.

Which now includes you, since you accidentally pretzeled your way into suggesting Blaster deserved it for even less.

Genius stuff as always.

Again, the whole point is no one knows if Seabrook did "sling homophobic insults at a coworker for being sexually abused OR allow it to happen as a leader." We have no information on that happening.

Until we have way more information than what we have from the JB investigation, we cannot assume Seabrook did any such thing.

Do you trust Kyle Beach at his word, or do you think he’s a liar?

Because if you trust Kyle Beach, then we know, at very least, Seabrook was in a leadership position while these comments were being made in public, including in the locker room and during practice.

Certainly can't imagine making statements about a player that hasn't been substantiated. How many posts about Corey Perry and someone's mom, again?

Shamefully the Flames had interviewed Bowman for GM as well.

Sadly in sports being a pos is just a small blip as long as you can win games. Look at the Chiefs in the NFL.

Winning trumps rape, murder whatever else they do.

Man.. his flames tv interview does not inspire...

Sounds like he has no idea why he's here with the org, or what's expected of him, etc.

Seems like a strange hire and I’d rather he not be affiliated with our team or work with young players.

You've been around on this forum for a long time. My interactions with you have been few but I expected better from someone who has been here as long as you have.

I wish you the best.

I thought Matty "ice" Stajan got hired into this role last year. Things not work out?

He's a FW so he works with the fws. Stoner and Seabrook work with the defense.

You must hold him in pretty high esteem then, because I don’t think Blaster could have done much better than reminding people of what happened and standing up for what he thinks is right, which includes standing against the homophobic, abusive culture these Blackhawks players participated in and enabled at the time, even as cowardly posters insulted him and said he deserved terrible things.

If the Oilers hired Seabrook you’d have a dozen posters digging even deeper than Blaster did. Which, now knowing it’s probably less because they care about what these folks did and just care about who these folks work for, is kind of gross.

I really don't like the idea of hanging the entire village because one resident commited a crime.
