I just don't think he's that impactful or that the Flames will be competing in these 2 years. In your worst case scenario that just looks like a good trade deadline piece to sell to me. I'll take a 1st in 2027

I like it, he’ll work his tail off the next two year to earn a big payday and by then the team will know if one of the young centers can replace him.

I like Frost and I'm fine with the contract. I actually think he has some potential to become a solid #2 if he could provide more offense. He also always gives a good effort.
Regarding the trade protection, I really think most players are demanding it now. It is becoming annoying. But also, I don't see a reason to trade him in the next 2 years.

Blues looking good for next season. Canucks will regret not making room for Suter with an abundance of cheap bottom-six wingers on the farm team (Karlsson, Klimovich, Lekkerimaki) to replace either Joshua or Hoglander.

Excited to flip frost for a first and a prospect next trade deadline. Really great asset management by Conroy.

Really 2 years was about the only term that made sense here. Frost making a leap would be a huge difference maker for the Flames. 25 goals and 60 points please.

Frost betting on himself, I like it. Good bit of business for CC - too many unknowns here with Frost. Not worth a big money contract yet.

For me, he passes the eye test but the counting stats just aren't there. I like the shorter term to hopefully motivate him.

Who cares? Only 2 years at a manageable hit. If that what he was asking for to get the deal over the finish line

I think he goes for 25-35-60 this year.
The skill is there and his zone entries are best on the team without a doubt. Getting away from Torts and having a full summer to focus and reset is huge, he'll be a beast this year.

Flames sign Frost (2 yrs, $4.375 mil AAV)
Perfect deal. Love that Frost will have huge motivation to cash in big in 2 years. If he progresses, great and we can re-sign him with Coleman’s money coming off the books and a rising cap. If he doesn’t progress, both parties can walk away without any major contractual handcuffs. Perfect deal at this juncture of the rebuild/retool.

We’re getting a first for a guy that puts up 15 goals a year? And a prospect?

Terms a bit light but I'm all for see how Frost earns his next contract. This is definitely a show me deal. I believe he will be a very big positive contributor next season.

Curious as to why the term was so short. Was this something the player asked for?

I want words with his parents though.
Your last name is Frost and you didn't name your son 'Jack?'
These opportunities dont just fall from the sky! You have to embrace them when they're given!!

Term could possibly coincide with the arrivals of either or both of Potter and Reschny.

Frost still has a lot to prove. If I’m the Flames I’m not committing term to him unless it’s a low AAV. Frost shouldn’t want that.
