Probably would be one of:

Sharks: Dickinson, Misa, Askarov (if not graduated). I assume Smith is considered graduated.

Montreal: Demidov, Reinbacher, Fowler, Hage. not having a 1st this year hurts them though, but it's an impressive group.

Chicago: Frondell, Levshunov, Korchinski. Drops off after that.

Might be Utah actually: Iginla, Simashev, But, and now you add Desnoyers

I think overall though it's still San Jose.

Calgary was 13th last year in Wheeler's ranking. And Wofl/Coronato already were considered graduated. So you take that group, led by Parekh who probably has risen in the rakings himself since, and add this year's draft, they could now be in the top 10. I will guess #9.
I think where Calgary might 'shine' (and don't get me wrong its better to be 'best' at 1-3 is like prospect 4 through 13 or something...we've got a tight grouping of first and second rounders and some rising later ones (Mews, Misa, Suniev, Brz etc) that are fairly indistinguishable (in a good way). of course I'm completely oblivious to most other team's 4-13 lists so this is a pretty uninformed post!

Switzer is from Edmonton and plays for Medicine Hat in the WHL. He was draft eligible for the first time, but didn't get taken.

Also wouldn't read to much into Yan Matvieko not being there. Russians typically have visa issues. Probably even harder to get a visa within a few days of getting drafted.

They probably needed a fourth goalie for drills, with Zarubin not coming.

No Lipinski/Matveiko/Zarubin/Jamieson/Chechelev among flames property that didn’t play in the AHL this year.

Would be nice to get them all there. Seems a bit light on guys. Have AHLers usually come to these in the past or has this always just been for the non-pro guys?

Edmonton's education system at work.

Lipinski has already attended two of these, so he doesn't need to attend a third.

Suniev, Hurtig, and Yegorov were drafted the same year, but didn't attend camp in 2023.

I thought Isa showed pretty well last summer, he wasnt just there because of Zayne. Nice to see him back! Maybe he can earn a Wranglers spot

Agreed, doesn’t have the offensive prowess of his brother but the kid could skate and make plays.

IMO it is really unfortunate that the trend appears to be less and less on ice sessions as the years go by.

Chicago has been doing a completely off ice development camp for a few years now.

NHL should run a summer league.

I've been a regular attendee of the scrimmages - this does make me sad.

Sounds like there’s no real reason to go sadly.
If the ice time is that limited and not even the group entirely then it’s probably not going to be much to watch.

A bit sad because lots of fanbases love to watch.
I always attended and brought the boys for the fist bumps from the guys.

Bit bummed to be honest.

Players overtrain to impress at this camp when they should be training to be in peak shape for September.

I have no issues with de-emphasizing the importance of this camp to benefit the players.
