Sorry if pointing that out once in a while to try and stop the title wave of know it alls ruffle your feathers.
And my points aren't putting anyone on "blast" any more than anyone else's opinins.
Thanks for the kind words on being sick. Just wiped out a weekend. Has certainly made me grumpy.

Thing is though I don't even think I'm overly negative - usually I try to look at things positively and am generally favourable to what Conroy is doing.
But to me this specific situation was a very predictable outcome that could have been avoided had they just been a bit more proactive 12 months ago.
Hopefully the Flames can still garner a good return, but overall the asset management of this organization has been too reactive historically, so it's easy to get frustrated when it feels like the same mistake continually gets made in terms of walking players to free agency / the final year of their contracts and not returning full value.
Conroy has been better at this for sure, but still frustrating to hear that the Hanifin scenario is happening with Andersson now too.

Ok
So how much does Vegas want him?
They don’t have to send him there unless they get a more substantial offer

We all have stress and things going on in our lives outside of this silly little website. But only one side of this discussion seems to think they should be allowed to participate without having their legitimacy as fans brought into question or mocked as being “outraged” when the discussion is actually super tame by hockey fan standards.
You tried to put people on blast for their opinion and got called out on it. Sorry you’re not feeling well and I do hope you feel better soon, but maybe just take the L and calm down a bit.

I admit I question why someone is a fan when they seem to have such utter disdain for the team they cheer for that I have to wonder why they do it, including when they seem to have moral objections to how the club is managed.
I never tell people if they should or should not feel.
It seems like you get confused between someone challenging your opinion v. telling them they can't have it.
More than that, optimism is a choice. I find certain posters, are just a constant pattern of negativity. I think that should be challenged particularly in an area like sports that is supposed to be fun.
And I'll be blunt. You are an example of that. You show up from time to time, as you did the last week, and just post a stream of negative posts that don't add to the discussion at all.
I have all the time in the world for people who don't share my opinion, but make an effort to provide an interesting perspective. And this site is blessed with a lot of those people.

27 1st and their freshest prospects. Two of them. Ill take Connelly and the kid they picked this year. Need to dump cap? Sure. That's a fair price to take some dough

It was probably for an established player who is good but makes a bunch of money. A lot of pundits are impressed by a big name but don't think outside of how good the players are now - not how much money they make, where they are in their career, what the selling team is trying to do. So let's say it was a "haul" of Joel Edmundson, Kevin Foegele and Trevor Moore, plus a pick. a lot of players, but not what the Flames want.
But let's say it was good but RA won't sign there for whatever reason. Taxes, chances of success, position in the lineup, etc. Was this so called big offer available last off season? I doubt it. And what was it? I doubt it was Byfield or Helenius.

Jackets sign Provorov. Market has dried up for Ras, when LA resigns Gavrikov that’s the end.

You really don't think any other team is looking for a Top 3 dman in the league on a sweet contract?

It's musical chairs.
A chair goes away but so does a player to sit in one.
As of tomorrow, Rasmus could be the top dman available.

When most of his value was derived from having a below market contract...yes.
There were lots of 40pt dmen out there, but not on a low deal, at his age, on a team in our situation with his intangibles.

A late 2nd and likely a late 1st? Not enough, IMO. Should be able to get that as a rental to another team, IMO.

You’d think he might consider expanding his list beyond one team.

Plus, Provorov wasn't leaving the NHL; he would be part of the competition for D that Ras is.

Andy really needs to go to LA, so when they play the Oilers again next year and win, it will be another former Flame playing a huge part in it. I'm all for that storyline!

It's usually folks that cheer for the hometown team. It's frustrating to watch the organization so poorly represent the people of Calgary. They have very little in common with the identity of the fans or what makes Calgary great.
If I were unbiased choosing, I'd be a Vegas fan any day. Made everyone look like fools, upended the apple cart of the old NHL, and continue to do it. If you see an interview with their ownership, they're hard not to like.
