Binged the first four episodes of new season of The Bear.

Abby Elliot has become a top shelf actor. Nice to see more shows dealing with the love between siblings.

Richie continues to grow, with his ex, and putting on a special display for a table.

Music highlights:

Bob Dylan - Most of the Time
Pretenders - Mystery Achievement

Episode 4 was maybe an unnecessary detour with Sydney working out her dilemma of which restaurant to work with.

Spoiler!

I'm gonna try, but frankly the 3rd season lost me. I know it's not a popular opinion, but I thought the 3rd season was poor.

Ice Chips (season 3) was perhaps the best episode of the series.

Nothing will ever top Band of Brothers, but I will give Generation Kill the 1b spot

Agree to disagree

I fully encapsulates life in the modern military, especially at that time.

So many scenes I had experienced something similar.

The names for superior ranks, we had Big Daddy Dan The Marlboro Man, as our CSM.

And a complete POS as an RSM.

The other thing to do is watch it be focus on listening to the background dialogue and chatter, so ####ing good

Meant to watch it years ago and somehow forgot, thanks for the reminder!

Is Revival based on the Stephen King book? If so, as much as I enjoy his work, we should maybe slow down on adapting it to the screen.

I also just finished watching this show. Fantastic police procedural with awesome characters and a great story/mystery. I was also impressed with how they pulled all the threads together in the last two episodes for such a satisfying conclusion.

They clearly set things up for a 2nd season, so here's hoping it gets renewed.

I don’t think so. I thought I read it was based on a comic book series.

To be fair

the same comment could be expressed from those storming the beaches of France in 1944. The series was brought to life from - mostly - the same people that made Saving Private Ryan...which is universally respected as the film most accurately depicting D-Day in spite of the cinematic flair.

By all expert accounts and analysts, the depicted Brécourt Manor Assault was brilliant.

I loved Band of Brothers, and I think it is the more rewatachable series. But there is something so viscerally realistic about Generation Kill that will never leave me.

I also love the conversation comparing the two. Probably the most win-win debate there is.

Right the bold part is my point.

Is it the depiction of the day to day bull####.

Chaplin......come the #### on. We had 2 with us and we would be trotted out when ever he came on our location.

Like #### off dude, take you fairy tales elsewhere, I was hoping to sleep after being up for 24 hrs.

Edit, also the simple happiness from Chef Boyardee. I remember one dude in my company for a a case of KD shipped to him and he gave it to the the company cook to make dinner. I was just about to tuck into my KD and we got a Starlight call.

I never got my ####ing KD. A dinner of stale bread and peanut butter.

I havent finished Generation Kill but it essentially re-affirms everything I believe about why I'd be just a terrible, miserable, awful soldier.

To put it into more conventional terms, I hated working with jackasses in an office environment. I hated having bosses who operated as Dictators and you 'do as you're told no matter what.'

I do not hold to that.

"Go take that hill!!"

"F### you! You want it so bad you go take that goddamned hill. I'm fine right here."

I really like Lego Masters, and I thought some of the builders were really good.

this weekend I stumbled on Australias Lego Masters Grand Masters.

My god the builders and the builds are just on a whole other level. And the challenges are on a whole other level as well.

It's not really that's it's an unpopular opinion. It's that you are wrong.
I could watch a new episode of The Bear every day, in perpetuity.
S4 was great
