The Sharks do not need a young forward. That is what they are full up on. Instead of adding Zary and Pospisil they could just promote Bystedt and Musty.
What they really need is RD. If they can get Andersson + Mews that gives them a solution for today and another for the future. #18OA could be Hensler which is another future RD.
Instead of Pospisil they could just sign Jeannot for that 3rd line grit.

I keep reading people are bored because Conroy hasn't traded Andersson yet. I believe these are the same people that would complain that "This is it? All he could get? Conroy should have waited for the best offer!" for years to come if he just pulled the trigger.
Conroy knows what he's doing. There is no rush. Calm your tits people.

Where are we at.... one year and counting? Were there any rumours about moving him at the deadline back in 2023?

We should tank to get young controlled assets!
But we should also trade our young controlled assets!
One day you’ll extricate yourself out of that wet paper bag.

Given our recent GM history, sometimes it’s ok to not be active for the sake of being active.

unfortunately no 2nd this year for CLB so would have to be 3rd....depending on player, this deal doesn't sound as good.

You have to trade something good to get something good. The reality is that if fans want the Flames to make moves, they should get used to the reality that teams will actually want some of the Flames better or more promising players in return.

If its Zary or Coronato. I'd trade Coronato. Seems like he would have more value while I think Zary has just as high of a ceiling. Possibly higher if center works out.

Is Barzal that much of a gamechanger where you'd give up a controllable star? Quite honestly, there isn't anything the Isles have that I'd want to complete that deal. Again, maybe Barzal, 16, 17 and a chance to swap next years' first, would move the dial, but Barzal himself isn't a guy who's carrying the team and that's what I can expect from #2 or so.

Huge mistake?? What is your expectation for Zary? Skating stats say he is a below average skater he is small, he is injury prone. I love his effort and heart, but best-case scenario is a 60-point winger.

Not 2nd overall in this draft IMO but 4th overall I think Barzal + maybe 16th overall. The top 2 picks in this draft are considered a steep ledge over everyone else it seems.
