I think it would be just 1 pick + prospect/player from CBJ if they cant reach extension.
Andersson is older and an expiring UFA.

I just can't see Anderson fetching two 1st rounders in that range.

Exact wording of the tweet, can’t grab it atm.

I’d have said the same before the Dobson trade. If Andersson is willing to sign in Columbus then maybe they pull the trigger

There goes the Flames getting NYI's unprotected 1st in 26, clearly, they are rebuilding.

It’s probably not far from this but likely instead of 20th, replace that with a 2nd or 3rd.

Similar thoughts here, however I see that Rantanen >>> Robertson quite easily (especially when it comes to playoff production).

I don't care what anyone says, San Jose isn't going to deal that #2. They have a chance to draft a high end controllable asset. They're sending floaters out there to gauge an overpayment, but next to someone willing to trade them a superstar, no one player is going to make a difference to their rebuild at this moment.
They're going to make the pick.

Yes, except I think Coronato should be on the table if it's 2 in the mix.

Could see them moving it for Robertson. Young established top line guy with size

Just for fun I’m thinking this would be a brilliant cap move for Dallas to move Robertson and then try to get one of these kids into the lineup on their entry level deal while cup chasing….

I don’t think insiders are lying, I know us speculators and mini-insiderrrrs aren’t lying, but infornationbwe share is never a for sure unless we say it is. We often share information based on speculation or talk and things usually do change.
Don’t forget Craig said himself just yesterday that he had 2 scouts almost come to fists because they were so passionate about selections/prospects. It’s intense, high stress and anxiety.
If these last 24h have taught me anything it’s that life is too short to sweat the small stuff. Don’t take life or health for granted and make the most of every day.
We shouldn’t be attaching each other on here, we’re all passionate fans who want to see the team succeed at the end of the day. We just have varying opinions and ideas and that’s okay. Let’s keep it civil and keep the faith in Craig.
<3 I love this forum, I love being able to share tidbits and I’m sorry I can’t keep up these last few days. But reading this on and off when I can keeps me sane.
Let’s all get along! Let’s get a cup here and that’s all that matters.

That’s my hope because Dallas likely would prefer players that make them a better team right now more than a 2nd overall pick (again, I hope). I think they would value low cap hit impact NHLers like Andersson and Posposil.

OR that pick goes to the flames along with some cap to get Ras (who they apparently really want), and the space to sign Marner. Robertson for Ras++ and Marner looks pretty good

Welp, I’m just a guy with a job, kids, and an addiction to golf. So the amount of time I have to spend pouring over stats, teaching myself analytics, is basically limited to reading things on the internet and this forum for about a hour give or take a day.
If Robertson is the guy to pursue, then I’m all for it. Hope it works. Would love to see the Flames, on day, draft and develop an elite 1C but maybe I’m just fooling myself.
