A bit of a hypothetical but I'm only worried about NMCs in case of an expansion draft in 2-3 years. A NMC would lead to Andersson + Parekh taking up 2/3 spots for defense, likely leaving all but one of Weegar, Bahl, Mews, Morin, Brzustewicz up for grabs.

That's still not a deal breaker, but I'm sure something management gives some thought when handing out NMCs.

PS: Only Huberdeau has a NMC after next season.

When you say get rid of him ASAP it implies that Kadri is a bad player here even with the ‘max value’ tacked on at the end. At any rate Kadri is hardly a player I’d look to get rid of, it would have to take a massive overpay for me personally, he’s been a remarkable leader for the youth movement here and had his best season of the contract last year.

I've mentioned before but I know some people don't agree. My main 2 reasons I want to trade him asap are to improve our draft position next year, and to get value for him as I believe his play is about to fall off steeply.

Again, people can disagree. But I compare him to similar type players and they go downhill fast at his age.

I didn't see the posts where you have mentioned this in past, so can I ask why you're so convinced his play is going to fall off steeply? Because personally I see Naz as a player who has improved his all around play throughout his career and looks to be able to adapt his game. I can see him being more of a Joe Pavelski type player later in his career than someone who's game falls off a cliff.

Yeah, Kadri has already bucked the trend for players at 35. There are always a few that manage to stay productive into their mid and late 30s, and he is trending well in that direction.
