I really hope this is true. I’m a big McQueen fan. Thanks for the scoop.

Get to 9 if you can and then see if you can get any higher. You never know who ends up slipping to 9 too.

I would love it if we could get Robertson, he would work great with Frost IMO. As long as Frost can carry the puck and push back the D slightly, and dishing the puck back, then Robertson would be great at finishing those. I also think that he would make our PP instantly better, and we would have 3 elite shots on the Flames (Robertson, Coronato, Sharangovich).

I'm not an "insider" and can tell you Andersson would not waive to go to Buffalo/sign there long term. That rumor is hilarious.

I doubt Buffalo would do that. Byram alone is worth more than 18OA. Quite a bit more, I’d say. Especially in this draft. You could take him right out of the deal and that would be closer to the mark.

Believe Andersson has also said he wants to win, right?
Unless Buffalo is about to turn the hockey world upside down with a string of moves, and Andersson would just be one, then I’m with you. I’d be shocked if he agreed to go to Buffalo.

IF Byram is actually a dickwad, would be fine with him involved in the deal then flipping him for someone else or another high pick for next year.

Not sure how I feel about McQueen, I like his scoring ability, he skates well for his size, which can be a challenge for taller guys. A little worried about his back. He seems to play a style suited for a smaller frame, not sure how well that will translate to the NHL where space is harder to come by. He needs to bulk up, and be more of a play driver, use his size, and outmuscle guys instead out scoring them if that makes sense.
He's a gamble, he is going to need to work on alot of aspects of his game if he is going to be successful. A project, not sure the flames should take him, they already have a project in honzek

I don't think it's impossible.
Worse scenarios possible then playing on a pairing with Dahlin long term

I still think a 3-way involving the Rangers and Buffalo makes sense.
Flames - 9 and Byram
Buffalo - K Miller, Pospisil and 12
Rangers - R Anderson double salary retention, Coleman and 32

Robertson is from California and fits their window to start getting better. They have Cellebrini and Snith up the middle so a top line winger would fit great with them.

SJ desperately needs dmen. If they move the 2oa, it's to get dmen.

Saw JFresh reporting that Peterka had the highest 5-on-5 shooting PCT ever recorded. Obviously it's a recent stat, but still something to think about.

Of if McQueen is there, Buffalo doesn't do deal.
