I’d be really weary of Zegras. A rebuilding team has no use for him? Not to say Anaheim is fully right but it seems like they’re at their wits end. He’s gone Hollywood and likes the fame more than making hard plays daily. He’s talented but does he move the dial? If you’re getting him at a discount, sure. But I suspect it’ll be for a top pick. I can see Utah wanting his flair.

Zegras is boom or bust but there's lots of upside there.

We've seen the impact a change of scenery can do for a player (*cough* Bennett).

It's far from a sure thing, and I have no idea if Calgary is interested, but I wouldn't write him off.

People can mature alot in their mids 20s.

Rossi and Zegras are the types of young centers with top-6 potential that become available.
They have red flags but that's why they're available.

Anaheim isn’t trading McTavish. Verbeek said they are top two centers and zegras didn’t fit their plans. Sounds like they will be aggressive.

CGY is being talked about as a potential landing spot for Robertson from DAL if he’s moved. Developing real time so I don’t have a lot.

Belief is he could be on the move here, they’re gauging interest as we speak.
Lots of suitors but Dallas have a real big interest in Andersson and he fits wonderfully in their top 2.

Cost would be Andersson, Pospisil and a 1st most likely.

Some other teams and potential offers:

LA - Clarke, Turcotte, 1st (LA really likes Clarke though)
NYR - Schneider, Othmann, 1st
DET - ASP, Berggren, 1st
CAR - Morrow, Blake, 1st

I will add that people think Ekblad is the #1 option but I’m hearing that’s not the case for everyone. Andersson will be cheaper and his give a #### meter is sky high, teams know what they’re getting out of Andersson and his aggressiveness and determination are sought after.

Obviously not a centre but would be our best player immediately.

Our best trade asset and first plus to get a left winger?

Also curious why ekblad would leave florida? Pretty optimal situation for him as far as i can see?

Not a fan of the player.

Trading a 1st for a winger.

Would rather see if you can move into the top 5.

We have had elite wingers it’s time we show restraint and remain locked into getting a 1C

That's steep for a pure winger. Flames would essentially be blowing their entire trade load on Robertson. Would be very organizational M.O to blow their load on a winger when they could blow it all on a center.

I don’t know anything about the trade or its legitimacy.
But it’s out there and so I thought I’d share.

I don’t just post what I like or what I share everything.
Robertson worries me personally as although he’s been a 100pt winger he was left off team USA for worlds.

He also doesn’t play a posistion of serious need, but that could come in the form of a further trade, never know.

Keep posting everything lol.

But yeah he’s very vanilla. The last time a playoff team sent a winger packing it was Florida to us after repeated playoff collapses.

What about the Flames eating one year of Ryan Suter's contract, about $1.4 million?

What's that worth to a team up against the cap?

Thanks for sharing! I’m not super keen on Robertson, but if that’s an indication of what we might get for Andersson or an Andersson-centred package, then giddyup!

Would rather the flames be part of a 3 team deal involving Andersson, Robertson and a team with a top 5-6 pick. Example:

To Dallas: Andersson (50% retained) + Posposil + 32nd overall
To Chicago: Robertson + 18th overall
To Calgary: 3rd overall

Dallas gets the defenseman they want and will likely be able to extend him. Chicago gets an American 25 year old top line winger for Bedard and they can start getting better right now while having a player young enough to fit their core. Good chance he will be as good or better than any player they would pick at 3rd overall at least for the next 3-4 years. Calgary gets into the top 3 to pick one of the 2 best centers in the draft. Gets them within range of Misa. Could even use some of their defence prospects to trade up a spot with San Jose to get Misa.

I’d rather have Robertson.

Having him and Coronato on two separate lines would give us two lines with great scoring ability.
