You can maybe argue Gibson was good this year but he hasn’t had a solid season for a long time. He is not the answer to the Oilers’ goalie problems. I really hope they acquire him.

Hard to say, he did have issues with teammates in Colorado and was traded, maybe the concussion's had something to do with it or maybe not but if freaking Buffalo doesn't want him I wouldn't be offering a tonne either.

Don't care about potential character issues. I think they are overblown.

I'm more concerned about his concussion history. 3 in 2 years is a lot for a young hockey player.

3 in 2 years, but when was his last? Looks like 22/23?

Honest question, is it that great of a concern? There’s a long list of players that have dealt with concussion issues. Crosby, Beregeron, even Tkachuk has had at least two IIRC. Posposil is another. Of course there are severities that don’t align and Bryan’s playing career was once being questioned but it might not be as big a problem as it would be for any other player.

They ended up 14th in the NHL in goals against average. Pretty surprising considering the state of their goaltending and dmen.

I think it's great that they think their problems are all down to goaltending and are going to potentially throw some of their miniscule cap and picks at it.. skinner and pickard actually played very well all season and in playoffs.


Florida beat the #### out of them in the finals outside the crease and if they choose the wrong scapegoat all the better for us. run it back with a bunch of geriatrics and a d corps that doesn't really defend Oilaz!

Anyone they sign they'll pretty much have to ship off someone of value to make a hole anyway.
