Kill count is a bad way to determine a bad guy. If Ukrainians would eventually kill more Russians, than the other way around, would it make them terrorists? USA killed way more Japanese than the other way around after Pearl Harbor.

Also, Hamas counts everyone as civilian. That 55K Palestinians killed in Gaza, they are not all "civilians", most of them are actually Hamas. They also count everyone under 18 as "children". The number of non-Hamas dead Palestinians is unknown.

For comparison, war on ISIS saw 83K+ ISIS members killed and also 12 thousands civilians. This is much more people, than ISIS itself has killed. I guess, this makes USA bigger terrorist.

Jesus, why don't you just get out there and start killing them yourself?

It's impressive the dehumanizing way that you talk. Basically a pure propaganda machine.

And that they count under 18 as children lol.

No ####ing #### Sherlock because that's what they are!

If that doesn't explain his insane bloodlust mindset, then I don't know what does. You should go join the war instead of being a keyboard warrior propaganda mouthpiece.

Pointman is like 2020s PIMking. Got us all to feel sorry for him when he was going to get conscripted to the front lines in Ukraine, but as it turns out he's a fairly abhorrent person that we really never should have felt sorry for.

3 more hostage bodies recovered. That makes 8 this month.

BBC

Quote:
Ms Keidar was 71 when she was killed at a kibbutz and her body taken into Gaza.

Staff Sgt Levinson "engaged and fought terrorists on the morning of 7 October and fell in combat," the IDF said. He was 19 at the time of his death.

Earlier on Sunday, Mr Samerano's father announced that his son's body had been recovered by the Israeli army.
Roughly 50 hostages left in Hama's hands, estimates are 20 still alive. At this point with a full war ongoing against Iran the math probably doesn't matter much to the Netanyahu govt anymore. The terrorists could return them all tomorrow and Israel wouldn't stop what they are doing in Gaza.

The Palestinians will never be permitted to rebuild or settle under the guise of "security". Not that they're allowed to leave either.

Now that the US is an active participant in Netanyahu's wars and the focus will be on Iran there is zero chance of a cease fire in the next 3 years.

This is a dumptruck full of deceptive bull#### propaganda and it'd be pretty great if you can't help yourself from spewing it, the mods step in and do something about it.

What a ####ing brain you have that allows you to justify this by calling dead children Hamas.

The baffling part is that you aren't even part of the history of this conflict. You just showed up two years ago and wrapped yourself in the fetid corpses of a hundred years of hatred and said "ya, this fits me nicely. Pass me a noise maker."

What a hilarious comment by a brain dead poster who has likely never lived under an authoritarian regime or gone through any sort of immigration process. Insane to me how people who have no clue what they’re talking about make comments like this.

It must be nice to not be able to fathom that level of control and surveillance in your life.

Well, okay, now I'm getting involved in this mess but it seemed fairly obvious that what he was saying was that they count all under 18 year old deaths as children killed by Israel regardless of whether they're 16 year olds firing rockets or AK47s at IDF troops. It's obviously a very different thing to kill a 6 year old as collateral damage in a bombing run than it is to raid a house and get shot at by a bunch of teenagers and kill them when you shoot back, so having separate numbers would better illustrate the realities of the situation.

Now I shall immediately pull a hedge Homer.

Would it though? Sure, the raw number may change, but it doesn't change the reality that Israel is still killing actual children. Is it so much better that it's 10,000 dead children and 10,000 dead teens(and no, they wouldn't all be Hamas) vs 20,000 dead under 18's? I don't think it matters.

I think it is important to remember that we are sitting at keyboards perhaps a bit further away than Pointman's reality. I think it is a bit easier for us to be calm as peace when there arent rockets overhead. Atleast for me anyway..

So, you don't even know such basic facts like:

1. Hamas does not provide separate figures for their own members and for civilians:

"The list does not distinguish between civilians and members of Palestinian armed groups who are killed in the war"

2. Death labeled as "children" are anyone under 18:

"At least 51,266 people have been killed in the 18 months since the Gaza war began, according to the Hamas-run Ministry of Health, with nearly a third of the dead aged under 18"

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cx25x35476yo

So you don't even know how Hamas present their reports, even though they were doing it this way for two years, and when I mention it, you call it propaganda?

most of them are actually Hamas.

Could you try shutting the #### up already? I don't give a #### how a terrorist organization presents anything, because there are many other organizations that shine a light on who is being killed, and it is very clearly not "mostly Hamas" you deceitful lying piece of ####. Stop dragging your hate filled gangrenous ass across our community.

It matters in the context of comparing casualties with other conflicts. Gaza war is the only war I know where we don't have separate figures for civilians and combatants. Even for ISIS war we do have them. This, in a way, hints at how much civilians and Hamas are intertwined in Gaza. Hamas itself seems unable to count them separately.

I didn't get it. You didn't like that I used the word Japs? Don't read too much into it, I'm not a native speaker. My kids are currently fascinated with Japan for the reason I don't understand.

Hamas is also actively recruiting during the war:

I understand the position that spot-killing Hamas members is likely not feasible. But we're missing the bigger picture. The only thing accomplished here is potentially knocking back terrorism temporarily. The result is a Petri dish that is growing a bigger generation of terrorists to come, that will cause more death and suffering in a matter of time.

It's also pretty hard to write someone off as evil that has their entire family wiped out as a child for taking up arms later in life against the nation that did it. We're witnessing the mass feeding of a never ending cycle.

Northern Ireland didn't find peace because the republicans were finally wiped out and gave up. This is all so foolish and indefensible.

Chechnya found peace after a pretty brutal subdueing by Russia. I wish there were better ways to bring peace about.

A more familiar topic for you could be colonization of First Nations.
