Fun to see the Panthers celebrate. But let's see the Oilers tears and excuses now. I'm already expecting to hear that mcdrai both had debilitating lower body injuries and the loss of Hyman was the difference maker.
I posted in the other thread, but we get Faceoff Season 2. We will get to see all tears, pouting and misery in it's full glory.
pre-series prediction revealed. Gretzky had the Oilers in 4.
What an absolute maroon.
honestly, i wonder if a guy like Messier was more valuable to their dynasty than Gretzky. I know numbers sell, and I know Cups are a team accomplishment, but I wonder

It's not just that Dicksaddle and McDoofus were sad, they're just such c**ts. It's like they hate any media person who has the balls to not kiss their ass and instead ask a tough question.
Really liked Skinner's interview, more class than those 2 supposed leaders.

For anyone that's ever been part of a team of anything, I can't imagine just sitting there like the loser of all losers as your other loser teammates file in. Can you even look them in the face? Do you think there's hugs of tears for a hard fought loss that was oh so close? Lol.
Man say what you will about Skinner because he’s an Oiler, but I really enjoy his post game interviews. Such a refreshing change from the typical player interview.

Messier won two cups without Gretzky on teams where he was the best player and they weren't really elite supporting casts around him.
Outside of one season in LA, Gretzky never really got close again.
Gretzky was amazing and is at worst a top 3 player all time, but I think you could argue that Messier was the required grit needed to win come the playoffs that Gretzky just didn't have.
A bit like a version of Kane and Toews on steroids...and I think it's been discussed a lot which one of those two were more important to the Hawks with lots of people saying Toews even if he wasn't nearly as prolific.
