I've never seen so little resistance to a team going on a SCF run.. Two years in a row!
Flames would've taken it the distance as well as taken a pound of flesh. They wouldn't be 100% for the next opponent.
The western teams were pathetic. DeBoer shouldn't get another HC job after trying to solve the Oilers with no contact pond hockey. He even had a year to learn from the previous failure.

Last year’s Flames weren’t the most talented bunch, but they played with a lot of heart and grit, which teams like LA and Dallas seemed to lack completely. I agree, I think the Flames would have taken them to 7.
