Chick dry fataing an escalade side mirrors and smashing her head into the windshield for an hour. It was a fun call narrating it as it happened.

Still no idea how after all these years we still don’t have a sticky thread at the top for greatest posts of all time.

I saw the person in the vehicle when I was leaving work and went over and told her what had happened around noon. I guess it was one of those fancy limo-like black escalades for the G7 stuff next door at the Palliser. The driver didn't give a fata about it when I said the car has damage, probably because it was certainly not her own car. So my civic duty was wasted.

Bonus points if some nitwit behind the scenes is obnoxiously shouting "WORLDSTAR, WORRRRRLDSTAAAAAR!".

Deerfoot trail is for some reason 80 between Anderson all the way to just before the Calf Robe bridge.
Nobody follows the speed limit. On it this morning and like 70 cars around me not one going even remotely close to 80.
None of it makes sense. It’s the perfect example of construction zones in this city. So dumb. Just random speed limits for arbitrary reasons due to “construction”.
No workers ever present on the road. Huge stretches of literally no construction. No police presence ever or anyone ever monitoring. No danger or safety concerns. Just… needless speed limit reductions.

Looooooooooooooch

Haha yeah that extended range is hilariously poorly managed.
Also, at what point does the city (or I guess would be province for Deerfoot) fix asphalt while there's construction? Because that #### is absolutely falling apart in that stretch as well and feels like I'm driving in Saskatchewan for heavens sake. Are we maintaining our roads to SK specs??

No available shoulders = lower limit all the time.

They often have one of those Police high visibility cars set up at the Southland exit.

I just assume they leave it like that to slow people down. Sure, they could fix it, but it's a construction site! Rough roads are safe roads. Or something.
