The emergence of no-trade, or limited trade clauses in even just decent player’s contracts in the past 10 or so yrs has played a large part in shifting the power balance to teams like Florida and Tampa.
They almost dont want the top end superstar because they have the option of distributing their cap dollars more evenly talent wise on lines 1 through 3, with people like Marchand that know how to win.

Panthers eliminate the Oilers and then Trump wanders off and gets mauled by a Grizzly, let it be so.

Surely it's the same for everyone's kids in Calgary. Too many Oiler fans; raised by Oiler fans.

I hope he proudly gets to strut around his school with that hat on Wednesday. Cmon panthers, do it for the kid!

I probably won’t let him now (if they win). I don’t need him getting jumped or shanked in the stairwell. Elementary school Oilers fans are another level.

Those McDavid questions are always so awkwardly framed.
Embarrassing, really.
Their only purpose seems to be to force opposing players into complimenting him and addressing him as special and in a category of his own, within the context of a team sport.
This all while he's getting shown up by at least 2 other players on the ice in Marchand and Bennett.
But yeah, it's all about Connor still. Have to give him his spotlight even when he's pedestrian.

At least this is the last of their kindergarten level journalism we'll have to put up with this year.

The garbage at my house goes out tomorrow, it's only bi-weekly.

When I was a kid in the eighties, being called an Oilers fan was the worst insult imaginable- if someone called you that, they had to go.
