1. Its not basketball.
2. They're not wrong.
McDavid is not his normal self. But man...it would be an interesting experiment to add up all of his minutes over the past few seasons, even them out and figure out how many actual games he'd have played over that time.
You cant just keep throwing him out there, PP, PK, OT, 5-on-5 and the guy is playing 25+ minutes a night, night after night and then fans sit back and think...'where is the magic?'
We joke that McDavid looks like a meth addict, but he looks like the Walking Dead. They just ride and ride and ride and at some point, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but at some point every ride stops.

It's a whole PO award as I udnerstand it, so Bennett. Marchand has been the MVP of the finals though.
Bennett is PO monster compared to his regular season - the only other similar example I can think of is Claude Lemieux.

The series isn't over; they've been to the finals two years in a row. I pray for that kind of failure. Yes yes STAMP Oil no good, rabble rabble no true irish-fan or whatever but come on

Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup Finals 3 years in a row. Their farm team in the AHL championship finals. Good ness what are they doing down there? I get the tax advantage but there has to be more..

Flip flops at the rink, convertibles you drive year round, and a house that overlooks the ocean. Also millions of dollars.

Yeah, it's not over until it's over, but after Panthers lost game 4, some in here says that's the series, meaning it's over.

I am sorry none of those things translate to the on ice success like the way that franchise has put together. I think there is something there, what a turn around for that franchise. I want to know the secret sauce.

Lets not forget the cocaine. Never underestimate the efficacy of some premium blow.

It's funny how little the Panthers gave up four their biggest playoff performers.
Bennett for a second and a prospect
Reinhart for a first and a prospect
Marchand for a first
Forsling off waivers
Tkachuk is really the only player that has to give up real assets for.

It's funny, after Greased Pigs won game 4, Twitter was exploded with tweets say what a great game, they are gonna bring it home, from Greased Pigs fans, SN and TSN. After game 5? All quiet down.

Reinhart was at least for a reasonably high first

They could try and present last years to McDavid again since he didn’t collect it.

It was the other Florida team that inexplicably let him walk as an RFA because of cap space issues.
Seth Jones retained for a late 1st and Spencer Knight, and then he turns back into a stud defenseman.
Lustorainen for Vincent Trochek. Rodrigues as a $4M AAV RFA. Lundell as a 12th overall pick. All become 0.75PPG+ players in the playoffs.
The amount of stars that had to align for the Panthers to be they are is crazy.

McDavid will skip the handshake line this year. Really the handshake line is for winners to float and losers who are not competitive enough to win.

He shouldn't be anyways if Maurice gets his say. No coaches or GMs, and the refs aren't in the line either.

Of note, after five games in the series, the Panthers have had the powerplay advantage in just one of the games, which, of course, was the game 3 blowout. Suspect.
