I'm surprised nobody is talking about the most cringe awkward kiss in movies at the end of ROSW. I kept things spoiler free until I watched the movie and was shocked at how weird it was.
Firstly I thought it was funny when he mimes rolling down a car window like his car doesnt have automatic windows and secondly...I was hoping beyond hope when he caught up with the kid...?
"Well...hello there..."
Missed. Opportunity.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
"Today, to mark the start of production on Star Wars: Starfighter, Lucasfilm has announced the full cast for the upcoming feature film from Shawn Levy. Joining the previously announced Ryan Gosling, the film stars Flynn Gray, Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings, and Amy Adams.
Star Wars: Starfighter is an all-new standalone adventure. The film, which has begun production, is an entirely original story set in a period of time never before explored in Star Wars. Starfighter will be released theatrically May 28, 2027."

Um. I'm a fan of this idea, I think the cast is good, I'm hoping the story is going to be really good but I read the article you posted and....one of these things is not the like other ones, one of these things doesnt (but absolutely should) belong....

Directed by Shawn Levy, the film is produced by Levy and Kathleen Kennedy. Executive producers are Ryan Gosling, Dan Levine, Mary McLaglen, and Josh McLaglen. The script is by Jonathan Tropper.
Of Warrior and Banshee fame...this man loves his glorious violence.
My optimism for this project is increasing...

Wild that after all the announced and shelved projects, it's Shawn "Free Guy" Levy who gets to make his Star War
Stranger Things and Deadpool v. Wolverine both did pretty well.
I do have a lot of reservations. Hopefully, the keeps the tone more Stranger Things and less comedic. Although, as a standalone, this could be more kid orientated. I really like the Skeleton Crew series, even though it was for kids.

Same team as "The Adam Project". I haven't seen that. Is it awful?

I forgot he was involved with Stranger Things.
But that being said, I'm not sure I consider that a pro anymore haha.

So I havent watched The Phantom Menace in a long, long time, nor do I intend to, but I got a rec for the Duel of the Fates scene on youtube and figured...'why not?'
I didn't really think much of it, but I had recently watched Galaxy Quest.
But in the Duel of the Fates...what is this room? With the giant laser partitions that appear to lead to a room with nothing in it but some sort of bottomless pit?
I was thinking 'Reactor Core' of some kind, but its right off the Starfighter Hangar Bay so that wouldnt make any sense. What was this place? What was it for?

I'll get creative and take a shot. An extremely well defended power source that draws energy from the planets core. Also, you'd also notice if you watched further that the hangar bay is atop a massive cliff adjacent to something similar to angel falls.

You reminded me that I was curious about this too, so I turned to Google, and the Star Wars fandom has provided. Apparently it's a "Theed Power Generator"
