We put up the most points in week 1 all from offence. 38 points and almost 500 yards of offence and it feels like we left so much on the field with missed chances. That’s the exciting part. Clean up the protection and catch the ball. Begelton dropping a pass with. Nothing but real estate in front of him. Jones missed opportunity for a long TD. I felt the ball was close enough he could have lunged for the catch. The Rhymes PI TD called back. Weak call but Rhymes didn’t go all out on his route.
Lee was a beast on defence. Flo was getting pressure. We ran a lot of 4 man pressure. Bo threw for 300 but had Maier like stats with just a 5.9 ypa which tells you he had nothing deep just check downs and we tackled well. VA had a 10.2 ypa which tells you he was throwing past the sticks.

So glad Monson is in Hamilton now and not screwing up the Stampeders defence any longer. Worst defensive coordinator I have ever seen.

I only got to watch about 20 minutes of the game but it was wild listening to the commentators and halftime show talking about how you had to game plan around Ford and how dangerous he is. I had to double check that they only had 7 points at the time. I don't know what TSN is so desperate to be an amazing qb when he clearly isn't.

He ran around about 25 yards backwards and made a lucky pass. It’s terrible play when being chased down.

The truly embarrassing thing was Suitor going on and on about what a fantastic play it was and comparing Ford to Doug Flutie even going so far as to say that Doug Flutie may have not been able to make that play.

What an idiot. Suitor and Nielsen are the worst. Ferguson and Forde so much better.

That Ti-Cats defense certainly looked all too familiar with them not being able to get off the field.

When he said that I my jaw dropped. Someone at TSN needs to have a talk with him as he's embarrassing himself and dragging down the broadcast.

The CSEC really needs to either drop ticket prices or find a way to get butts into the stadium.
It was really shocking seeing how empty it was for a home opener. Almost zero wait for any concessions and bathrooms during the game.
Saw Tre Roberson sitting a row down from us though, cool to see him still in town - wonder if DD will give him another shot if some injuries pop up.

So are you saying we should move from #9 to #8 on TSN's power rankings?

We've been over this for years. The Flames literally do not care about the Stamps and their success or viability. It's a drop in the bucket in their umbrella and they've decided they'll just toss their $3mil in pennies to operate them each year and give nothing more in terms of money, resources or support.
They will not grow them, they will just operate them on a shoestring budget with zero thought or effort.

I noticed that as well. Also took a peek at the Argos injury list and saw that Chad Kelly was limited in practice. It could be Nick Arbuckle getting the start on Saturday versus the Stamps.

Lions are road favorites tonight as Zach Collaros is serving his one game suspension tonight and Chris Streveler gets the start for the Bombers.
