So they should just draft another McDavid.
Well #### - it's just that easy!

It almost like having 2 of the 5 best players in the world enhances your chances of winning

I like the references to “alleged”. What are you afraid of, a defamation lawsuit lol? This is the internet with fake names and everything.

Very easily.
They've also come back from 0-2 to win in this run as well.

I still like the Panthers' chances if they can win game 2. If not, then yea, this thing is pretty much over and the world will be forced to watch the most embarrassing franchise in pro sports carry the Cup around the ice. What a f'n joke.

I don't know how to post it, my friend from California sent me a picture that shoes one of the oilers offside as they entered on the goal.

TBH Oilers aren't the team anybody should be replicating anyways.
Having the best player in the World by winning a lottery isn't a repeatable path to victory. Especially since said team has never been a great regular season team or even won their division.
4 First overall picks, and 11 top ten picks and banking on getting the best player in the world is a foolish plan.
Replicate Chicago and Tampa Bay. Teams that built well throughout all rounds of the draft, and then sucked for 1-2 seasons to get their Kane/Toews Hedman/Stamkos.

This is CALGARYPuck. Those bitches up north can win the next twenty cups and they’ll still get (and deserve) zero credit from Flames fans. This isn’t exactly new information for you, so I don’t know wtf you think you're trying to prove.
Bag of players on a bag of team in a bag of city with bag of fans.

I would like to live in a world where Flames fans hold their team to the standard of being able to compete with the very best instead of just pretending that their provincial rival is still somehow a leaguewide joke. They're in the Stanley Cup Final for Christ's sake! What basis do we truly have to be sanctimonious anymore?

They can't win their own home games and then game 5 or 7 in Edmonton?

Or another Reinhart. Or another Eichel. Oh shoot they're gone.
Flames only sincere hope to compete in the next 10 years is if the Oilers lose McDavid to free agency. Looks like they've got a stranglehold on the Pacific with the Golden Knights and Kings regressing and Anaheim, Utah, San Jose still a couple years away from competing.

You realize that getting 4 first overall picks in six years isn't something you can just "try" into, right?
That's why the Oilers are where they are.
And teams are capped now, just as the Oilers should've been then.

You seem to have forgotten that E=NG
Always and forever.
It's a rivalry dude. Don't expect fans to give their most hated team credit.
Particularly with how they built their team.

The Oilers got a PP in OT to beat the Panthers, not like they blow the Panthers out of the water. Panthers played a good road game, just wish Maurice would play his 4th line more to rest the other lines. Watch the film, fix the mistakes and win the next one. Neither team dominated the whole game, so it's still anybody's series.

The doom and gloom continues on this forum. The Panthers didn't play near their best and almost went to double overtime in the Coilers arena. Not sure how so many figures this series is over. Wow...

The Panthers had a 5.5-hour flight across two time zones and still out-attempted and out-chanced the Oilers at 5-on-5. Oilers get twice as many power plays with the Panthers’ fourth line taking the unforced overtime penalty and game over.
They’ll be okay.
