The Pentagon is poised to shift its oversight of Greenland by putting it under U.S. Northern Command, a symbolic gesture that would more closely align the island territory with the U.S. as President Donald Trump continues to show interest in taking control over the Arctic landmass.
The shift in oversight, which could come as soon as this week, could also help the U.S. broaden its Golden Dome missile shield by providing more radars for coverage.

Funny how it seems like the Dems are the ones who read them (from just looking at reviews Goodreads, etc. that outline how sickening the books are).

Given the sheer volume of awful things they do, you kind of have to triage the news in terms of what you care about... my suggestion is to do it based on pure utilitarianism. How many people will this harm and to what degree. Re-naming ships out of spite is incredibly ####ty behaviour and character revealing but it's just so far from the top of the list in terms of things to care about.
Same with "MTG didn't read the bill". It's fun to dunk on MTG but that's not the biggest issue with that language being in there.

That's a long story, but not necessarily. It depends a on how ambitious they want to be with it, how much money they want to spend on it, and what is the level of protection that you would define as "making a real difference".
At this point anything between "this fundamentally changes the nuclear deterrent question" to "they abandoned it as too expensive to be feasible" are realistic options.
Thing is, whatever level of missile protection you have, you can always overwhelm it with more missiles. So a likely the end result of building a missile system is China answering by building a lot more nukes.

Despite what you have been told, size does, in fact, matter.
Most things are possible, but we don't do a lot of them because they are not practical. Like using nuclear bombs to create a waterway from the Yukon to the US. People have ideas. It doesn't mean we should do them.

Plus the fact that they're re-introducing the namesake bases of Confederate generals. Tells you exactly the direction the government wants the military to become.
