Some of you who I assume are "die-hard Flames fans" really need to get your s**t together, while some of you are shockingly close to going off the deep end but not quite there yet.

Panthers are trying to convince everyone they are the underdog as that is the role they want to play. I'm sure SN and the Canadian media will help not to mention CP it seems.
It disgusts me the Oilers are back. Vastly below average goaltending, below average defense, and below average depth up front. I come to question the league. How does this happen.
I don’t want the NHL to become the NBA, where you can win with two elite players and a bunch of crap. The NHL has always been more of a team game to me where you need contributions from the whole roster.

The Panthers definitely can win. The only question is their energy level after three finals runs. If they still have gas in the tank they can/will take this.

To be fair, that's his niche. It has netted his Chiefs three Superbowls in the past several years.
Contrary to popular belief the Stars won the expected goals battle in 4 of 5 games. (not my stats) Oilers aren't playing some amazing shut down hockey. Skinner was better that Jake shockingly and the Oilers got the bounces in the end.
I think most if not all will agree the Panthers are better than the Stars...Panthers need to finish at a higher rate than the Stars did.
Expected goals must mean nothing then. I watched the games and Dallas outplayed Edmonton in maybe 2 periods all series.
Florida isn't going to just give up though and let Oilers win like the Stars though. This will probably be a close battle.

Sometimes people just accept reality. ####ing Oilers train is on full steam ahead.

hopefully Tkachuk isn't a ghost this year in the final
Tkachuk suffered a broken sternum in the final last year. His groin injury from the 4 Nations isn’t fully healed, so he’s not at 100 per cent his year either. Nothing to do with effort level.

Game One June 4th with a potential Game Seven June 20th? There is no need the hockey season needs to stretch towards July. I know the NHL avoids overlap with the NFL so pushes their start but zero reason they can't start late September instead of the second week of October. The bye weeks are silly too.

Marchand wants a second touch of the cup; would be incredible 14 years apart! If Marchand whelps Panthers beat the Oilers in the SCF, we owe him big time for beating the Nucks and the Oil when we needed those teams to lose the most.
