When he puts Coronato on the table with everything that is a super legit offer.
Basically offered Coronato, Bru, Gridin, 18, 29-32 for 2 in a draft that is not that hyped.

They've done a good job of building a strong prospect pool, and now need to add to it with some veterans.
Center: Celebrini, Smith, Bystedt, Bordeleau
Wing: Eklund, Musty, Chernyshov, Halttunen,
D: Dickinson, Mukhamadullin, Wallenius, Thompson, Cagnoni
G: Askarov
Add likely one of Schaefer, Misa, or Martone to that young core now too.
They have 2 1st's and 2 2nd's this year, and 2 1st's and 2 2nd's next year, plus the most cap space in the league, so lots of ammo to add to the team as well.

Detroit at 13 is still the one that stands out to me for Andersson.

Prospects and picks + a depth veteran isn’t going to wet their whistle.
Unless we’re offering Andersson + Parekh ++ I doubt they even pickup the phone.
Coronato isn’t being traded, so I wouldn’t add him to any proposal.
Same goes for Wolf and Parekh.
Kadri is about 95% untouchable at this point, player would have to agree to anything and both sides want him here. He wants to bring a cup to Calgary more than he wants to chase another one somewhere else.

San Jose also likely wants to build as good a team around Celebrini as soon as possible. They have the franchise player, now they need to avoid trashing his confidence or getting him into bad habits. They also want to avoid burning any of his prime years.
If I'm SJ I'm bringing in at least two top 4 defenders this off season.

SJ was trying to get better last year. That they were so, so bad was by accident, not design. Now they have 3 seasons before all their young stud RFA's get paid. Ecklund 1-year, Celebrini & Smith 2-years, Dickinson 3-years assuming he makes the team next year which is likely, plus 3-years if whoever they draft this year makes the team, also likely.
Regardless, they need to bring in vets now. They don't need to stockpile draft picks anymore, time to start seeing the picks pay off. Otherwise it's going to be a miserable rebuild when the young players are all getting paid and have next to nothing for reliable vet leadership.

Basic outline
1 of Mews or Bzru
1 of Battaglia or Gridin (or basha)
1 Roster player (I would be fine if this were Coronato, though some wouldn't. Farabee, Zary are other potential examples.)
the 2 1sts we have this year
Just want Misa bad.

Terrible. Like you would get fired kind of terrible.

You make it sound like Coronato and Farabee have similar value? Farabee likely has negative value. Coronato has exceptional value.

Would the Dallas 1st and SJ 2nd be enough for Ras?
Basically the 32 and 33 pick this year

2nd next year its probably a done deal.
Walk out with reschny, zonnon, reid, gastrin? I could do that.
My personal belief is sj and chicago may be frontrunners. They both have the assets and impetus to improve.
Chicago could go 31,34,58
Sj could do 26,36,53
Nashville could be a surprise they could go 24,27,35
Detroit has the need dont about the will they have their own picks and two thirds.
Montreal has a pile if draft capital do they need a rd? Not sure.

I’d rather get more picks spread out instead of all in this draft. 1st in 26 and a 2nd this year.

It makes a lot of sense. He fills a need there, and Yzerman is under the gun to deliver some results. If they don’t make the playoffs next year, he might be out.

Seems like the Rangers make the most sense in a team that needs to do better and has a chance of resigning Rasmus Andersson.
Rasmus Andersson for 12th Overall + 2026 2nd
Check in with Tampa on Isaac Howard (if he can commit to signing):
Isaac Howard for Henry Mews + Blake Coleman (50% Retained)

That would be highway robbery by Tampa. Howard would also have to leave NCAA after committing to return if he signed.

Chicago would have no interest in Anderson. They already have two RH dmen youngsters who have been very impressive.
They are looking for forwards.
SJ is the team in need of dmen.

No where near enough, IMO. This is a fairly soft draft, so it's basically 2 2nds for Andersson. No thanks.

[32T] 58:30 Friedman reports that the Sabres are gauging market value on Bowen Byram. He has recently changed agent and is now represented by Darren Ferris. He would like a bigger role and more responsibility.
This is a must acquire by Calgary imo. Trade Andersson for picks or Byram and extend Byram to 8 years.

Bleacher report recently had an article about the best fits for RFA’s and Byram and the Flames were linked (fit wise not legit rumor)

I have heard too many red flags about Byram to make me believe he could be a detriment to the culture. I hope if the Flames were interested, they do their research first.
