I think a lot of underachieving players get to FLA and suddenly look much better. Lots of talent to support them.
Look at Bennett. Or even how big a role Lombo played on the panthers.

When he stopped playing 27min per game and trying to be a #1D. Whenever they've been able to keep his minutes in the low 20s he's been very good for the Panthers.

Replay shows he didn’t hit the stick at all. The puck was off of the stick before he slid in and hit the puck with his foot.
