essentially Iginla (debut 1996) likely lost about 100 goals based on when he played, versus Mike 'one of the top 100 of all time' Gartner who debuted in 1979 and likely scored 100 more than in an average era


on the other hand guys like Nieuwendyk, Sakic, Shanahan who debuted in the later 80s are pretty much right on target- they benefited early in their career and then were 'short changed' later

It sucks because Iggy was robbed of both a Cup and a Hart trophy. Those are basically the only two things missing from his trophy case. Still makes me angry to this day.

So lucky. For Johnny, he had his size limitations keeping him from being even more of a force than he was, but god, he straight up had Datsyuk hands. I'll never take for granted having that caliber of a skill guy ever again.

That 21-22 Season... 115 points, and it seemed like he could have had at least another 80 points if teammates could simply put pucks into empty nets.
