They might let it go. Depends where the crack is and whether it is really bad, but the examiner at the Country Hills registry understood this is Calgary and this is the reality is life.

Yep I've noticed that as well. For my 14th / 15th Ave rant, I find it's usually the scooters doing it. Just flying on it too, right into oncoming rush hour traffic.
The good news is that your new windshield getting cracked means no more snow in May.
I have a crack reminiscent of Salvatore Dali's mustache since January. It legit curves up 2/3 the windshield.
I'm actually considering holding off till June/July to replace the windshield to avoid that one unlucky bounce. But if I have to bring in my vehicle for any other reason, I'll just do it all in one go.
It is so irritating to hear people say the same phrase over and over again when they are in the same situation. Like they heard someone else say it, thought it was clever, and never bothered to diversify their language going forward.

What's with all these vehicles now with plates starting with 0 or a just a letter. Rentals? Fleet vehicles?
Seems like a flood of them now and they all have absolutely stupid ####ing useless drivers? Horrific lane changes, egregious illegal u-turns in the middle of a road over the median, driving right through 4 way stops with no pause, dual turns when only single lanes are allowed, etc.

They’re commercial drivers like uber/lyft/doordash/etc.
I know there is science and stuff on how to sell cars and make money, but is there not a chance they are doing it wrong?
I head into a major brand dealership yesterday to look at a used vehicle "list priced" at $37,000. After some discussion with the sales guy and the long walk to the sales managers office, he comes back with, yada yada i'll get you $2000 off the list price, which magically makes the new all in total over $40,000. I meet the manager and laugh at how bad the math is. Basically they tack on a random $1400 fee, and then use an inflated price from which they knock off the $2000 (not the price they advertise). What a colossal waste of time.
For real who would buy a car in a process like this? I certainly didn't.

Me too, and I questioned it immediately. So many people can't be bothered to even look online to verify something like that. No wonder we have such an uninformed, or more accurately, misinformed, population.
