I wouldn’t count on that. These guys are people more than players, and there’s still a few around who actually value and respect those who employ them and help them develop. I would say Coronato is one of those guys and perhaps Wolf is too. There are still athletes who value the community they are a part of and this impacts how they approach contracts. Guys like Wold and Coronato can always spend their post career lives on a beach in Hawaii, but I would wager Wolf is looking to sign long term right where he is.

I have a pretty reliable track record with this sort of thing. I'm hoping it takes a dent, but it hasn't thus far.

Ah, I see. Yeah I don't buy into it with Wolf, and the fact that Conroy is now doing the contracts. I think Wolf will be along for the ride provided he is paid appropriately for what he brings. The only way I see Wolf on his way out of Calgary in the next 3-6 years is if Conroy sees value in team building in having Wolf for a shorter term at $7-8.5mil AAV over having him here long term at $9.5 - $11mil AAV, and Conroy seems way smarter than that.

I wouldn't trust Trelviing to make the right decision there, but I see Conroy understanding the value in paying a top 5, potential league leading goalie over 7-8 years, as the foundation of this build.

Please go buy a Coleman jersey. Pass the curse along to him. Not that I dislike Coleman but a younger player can be promoted to his spot next season and we'll get some assets. So you're saving Wolf and helping the team.

Thank you. I take that as a compliment.

But frankly, I couldnt decide on a player I wanted to go. Even then though, I dont get to pick which jerseys I get. I let the Universe decide.

Yeah. You know what though? Coleman is my boy. Just lunch-pail amazing. Wolf was awesome. I'm not sure I could pick out a 'whipping boy' for this season, everyone fought like hell.

I'd like to pick out Huberdeau, but he really impressed me this year despite being French, he picked up his game and he's keeping us Cap-Compliant. I really cant complain about him. He had a good season.

Yeah. It was a pretty impressive team effort this season. In which case they should all be flown to New York to each give someone who designed the playoff format in the NHL offices a sweet, swift kick straight to the balls.
