That's the right way to finish off the season!

Vladar - I think he is a starter. If the Flames didn't have Wolf, I would be very comfortable with having Vladar as the starter. I hope he re-signs here, but if he doesn't, I hope he goes somewhere where he can prove himself as a starter. I think he can do it.

Parekh was good. A couple of mistakes, but otherwise, he was effective.

Hopefully Klapka and Sharangovich are fine. I guess if there is any time to get an injury, the last game of the season in a non-playoff year is the best possible timing. Hopefully they were just kept out for precautionary reasons, and if they are hurt, it is a short recovery and they can get into their off-season training.

Morton looked ready to step in. So exciting to see him score as well.

Brzustewicz looked steady.

Hunt - this is why you want him in the organization. He may be a tweener, but he is a seasoned tweener out there that doesn't hurt you, and occasionally has a fantastic game like he did tonight. Coaches love him. I hope he get's re-signed - if the Flames make the playoffs next season, he would be an asset when there are injuries.

This team entertained us with all their heart this year. One of those really good memorable seasons! Love this team!

4 rookies for the Flames combined for a + 8!

Was so excited about Parekh that I counted his pluses twice and had +11 originally!

Great win tonight. Nice way to pay tribute to Greg Millen. He would be proud.

He didn’t get a point but Bruz was really good. Our backend is set with some really solid and dynamic players.

And I can’t help but cheer for Morton. He was great and seeing his family was so awesome.

And while I too feel that maybe if we had played some of these guys earlier the result could have been different, I don’t think we’re going to regress next year (barring injury or other unforeseen circumstances). Missing by the smallest of margins I think is only going to make this team hungrier and having Wolf and Zayne and graduating others like Bru and Morton graduate to the team I think is going to get us in next year. I just have a feeling - I don’t think this team is missing next year.
The Flames went 4-0-1 after Parekh arrived.

So do we have too many good players now?

This will be an interesting off season. Only so many spots.

Crazy to think just one more OT or SO win and the Flames make the playoffs.

Couldn’t have scripted a more fun last game after the disappointment of missing the playoffs. I hope Morton slips into the 4th line center role, Brz in the bottom 6, and Parekh a sheltered top 4 (?!?) next year. Tonight was a fun glimpse into the Flames near future.

I know some people came around on Rooney a bit, but I'm looking forward to Morton taking that spot in the near future.

Yes!

Just no AHL next year. I think I may need to attend a Wranglers game.
