Did you know he's also the horse broker arsehole in Yellowstone? That blew my mind.
He also played a cowboy that saved Shea & Elsa from bandits in 1883 and Cody Spears the mercenary who helps out the main characters in Lioness. The guy's ego is HUGE!

The cinematography in the movie is amazing.

Yeah Sicario is really good.

Hell or High Water I thought was really underrated too. Really like that one

The other one he wrote around the same time though.... Meh.

Charlie Goodnight.

1883 was incredible, IMO. Haven't watched the second season of 1923 yet, but the first was pretty good.

And frankly, I thought the Travis character from Yellowstone was one of the more interesting ones in the whole series.

Sicario was also fantastic.

Like conflicts magically vanishing into thin air, or characters back tracking on their season-long motivations?

Spoiler!

I'm torn between whether it's bad writing or just an accurate depiction of ordinary phenomena between people.

Because, funny enough, sometimes a good night's rest has a way of paving over things allowing for those vicious cycle relationships to perpetuate.

So we're left wondering whether Mike White is making some relatable social commentary or just didn't have anything interesting lined up for certain characters.

To his credit, the big developments that did occur were engaging and certainly hit.

I feel like if you're writing for mystery, you need some loose ends to keep people guessing.

How’s the new black mirror. Been shabby for a bit and don’t want to get disappointed.

I'm three episodes into it. First two were excellent. Third one was just okay.

Agreed. I'm 3 episodes in and I'd say it's been excellent as well.

(I've liked pretty much every season, however)

I finished up with season 3 of the White Lotus. Some comments below but overall I thought it was another strong season....probably my favourite one so far.

But first, to address some of the feedback I read while the show was still airing.

- Introduction song

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of this version of it. But not everyone needs to like everything.

- Story progression

I can see how people say this season was slow, especially if you watched it as it aired. For all the seasons of White Lotus I started after all episodes were released so I could watch them all in quick succession. But I can see how some episodes, in order to set up characters and plot, seemed to be really slow.

Now the impressions

- I felt like this season the culture and location truly were characters compared to last season. Last season a lot of the story happened mostly outside of the resort. This season there were some things that happened outside of the resort but it just felt the resort was more front and centre.

- Acting, once again, was incredible. Some of the short-term roles (I think cameos?) were absolutely fantastic.

- The story, once again, takes time to develop as it weaves through the different narratives but it all comes together in the end.

- I enjoyed the continuity they keep with some returning characters or references to previous seasons

Again, it was an enjoyable ride to another location for the White Lotus. Looking forward to the next one!

First episode of Your Friends & Neighbors with Jon Hamm was interesting enough for me to want to see more.

I've never been a huge medical drama fan but the Pitt is awesome. It's cool to see a fast paced multi faceted medical show - I love how it's not just one patient per episode and feels like a more realistic emergency room to me, as someone who has no idea how an emergency room would look in real life from a medical perspective.

Yeah I just can't get into hospital dramas. In fact I just don't like them at all, as the a drama revolving around doctors in a hospital has been done so many times that it's just not something that interests me. Sounds like the Pitt could be a better take on this so good for folks that like that stuff but I will have to pass.
