But there is a huge difference between trying as hard as you can and being ready to go to war, on your toes kind of thing.

That is hard to produce 82 times a season, especially when you're wearing down.
It’s not only hard physically, but it is also extremely taxing mentally.

Anyone else (not so) secretly hoping that one of Bean, Hanley or Pachal gets a bad case of the runs (bubble guts) before gametime tonight????

And yes I think you can choose to start the game aggressively. Might not last that way but you control your effort from puck drop. IMO.
There is a difference between a poor performance and a poor effort. I think it is way off base to be challenging their effort.

IIRC ( no guarantee on that), they haven't lost in Anaheim since 2019 or whatever. So now that it is a must win, we can rest assured that the hockey gods will have none of that.

But hopefully they won't choose tonight to spite us, and we can extend the streak further

Anahiem should be tanking.

3 points ahead of Boston for a top 5 pick
3 points behind the 4 way tie for picking 13th

May as well play Parekh at this point. If the Wild win tonight, I just don't see playoffs happening.

If the Flames win tonight the Wild game Friday is meaningful no matter what they do vs. SJ
